Me too. Canelo's going to land his best punches on G and stand gawking when he shrugs them off. G's jaw is very under estimated. Even at 155.

70-30 is probably fair. If GGG can get it at 160, then I think they jump on it.

Both GGG and Canelo need this fight:

GGG - needs to get a big name in the ring with him. Ideally Canelo, but if Canelo drops the belt he can fight BJS/Jacobs, and then move up to fight De Gale or Zurdo. But he absolutely needs to be in a with a good opponent, hence the pressure to accept slightly unfavourable terms against Canelo just to get the fight made.

Canelo - does not want to be labelled a coward by dropping the WBC middleweight belt. So far he's fought good opposition, but if his offer to GGG is ridiculous he will (deservedly) get plenty of stick.

And both management teams are trying to get a good deal for their guy. Canelo is the a-side, but as I pointed out above GGG is quite popular, is the mandatory, so has some clout too. Let's hope that the proposals are sensible, which in my opinion is:

    Money: not worse than 80/20
Weight: ideally 160, but not lower than 158

This Mexican right here ain't got his back in avoiding GGG at 160! And many of the Real Mexican Boxing fans!

Only Mexicans who have his back are Biased Canela Groupies!

GGG is the Mandatory and therefore is not obligated to meet a catchweight demand... it's pretty pathetic if Canelo gives up the belt rather than fight GGG. don't you think?

I think that the CW thing is utter bull****, but the clock is ticking on Golovkin; he needs to start taking some risks or end up being a might-have-been/probably-was-but-his-opposition-wasn't-good-enough-to-really-tell type of great fighter.

I agree. The onus is on Golovkin if he actually cares to be great.

When Canelo got embarrassed by Huggy Bear Mayweather I think he caught that dreaded disease from him Yellowstreakitis. Makes the testes shrink like acorns and leaves a yellow streak up his back. That might explain his cowardice

Mikey Garcia predicting he'll fight Chocolatito or Tapia.

    Canelo has nowhere to hide.

Of course I'd like to see them fight BUT with all the bull**** that has gone on from team canyelo it would be pretty entertaining to see canyelo tuck tail and run. Truly embarrassing situation.
