GGG is a clear underdog 4.5 to 1. Some say and I tend to agree : If you believe one wins don't bet on the other, even if the bookmaker gives you 20 to 1. You will just lose your money anyway. I will respect this philosophy for this fight especially given that Canelo already has proven to be capable of beating GGG and now the latter is 40 years old. You had guys like Bernard Hopkins who at 40 years still had a decade of good boxing to give. But I saw Golovkin last fight and it left me the impression that he is slowing down. Is he getting smarter to compensate the lost of speed? We will see that on September 17th.

I don't have any plans to bet but I do like those odds for GGG. Not enough attention is being paid to the fact that Canelo got worked pretty badly by Bivol a few months ago, there may be cracks in the granite.

    Nah..that times long gone now....

If I was gonna bet on Golovkin to ko canelo it woulda been about a year - year n a half before they first fought...I thought he won the first two...I expect canelo to score a legitimate no controversy win this time round

Styles make fight. IMO Bivol would beat any version of Canelo. I would say Bivol won a clear decision but could have done much more. No serious beating took place. Now GGG is known territory. If Canelo loses this fight something is going wrong with him.

GGG's only chance is a firefight.

It wasn't Ali Frazier 3 by any means but it put more miles on Canelo's odometer than people think. Canelo was reacting to every punch and damage was done: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.marca.com/en/boxing/2022/05/09/62789234268e3e71018b45c9.html

Six camps in the last two years as well, nothing to sneeze at.

Of course, GGG took some blows as well from Murata.

I just think you're getting well compensated for the chance that GGG could KO a fighter that he's shown to be roughly even with. He's either got a KD or a KO in all his major fights except Canelo. Any GGG punch can swing the scores or end the fight, though I suspect he will be the one who gets stopped.

I expect Canelo to get the KO/TKO and will put some $$ on it. He's going to be motivated after an L.

    Canelo via TKO/KO is +160
    Canelo via UD is -120

I honestly thought it should be flipped.

I do not really enter that KO/TKO bandwagon. None of these fighter had been KOed and they know each other and respect each other and despite his age GGG still belongs to the elite. I think statistically speaking we rarely see KO occuring in that situation. Their previous fights were tight. I would favor a decision for Canelo.

Golovkin has to knock out Canelo, otherwise he'll fight the judges again and will loose to them just as it happened in their last two fights. But I don't see Golovkin doing it. Still, I hope he would as he deserves to have a victory over this golden boy.

Golovkin took more heavy leather for Murata than Canelo from Bivol. Canelo was dominated, but he wasn't beaten up.
