PIMP in all seriousness No BS You know as well as anyone else that THE FIX IS IN!!!
GGG hasn't got a prayer of getting a square deal on Sat night. He has to KO Canelo twice to get a draw. As a legitimate boxing fan could you accept a blatant robbery as a legitimate win for Canelo ??? If so you are NOT a boxing fan but just another fan of corruption

Most GGG fans think he will KO Canelo anyway so I don't see what the big deal is. The judges shouldn't be a factor.

F this. Boxing fans need to loudly voice their opinions, as the only thing square will be the ring.

Let the best man win, not the one with crooked judges.

Well the ref can allow fouls, or and favor one man, and the judges if it goes the distance can rob the best man.

This is a factor, even if GGG wins via 8th round KO, we have the right to point out crooked judges score cards.

    Let's not overreact here:

    1. Complaining about a robbery which hasn't happened yet is a waste of time. If you've already predicted a robbery then by all means stick to that prediction but moaning about it in advance doesn't do any good, except possibly making you look stupid if the judges get it right.
    2. However, people have a fair right to comment on the judges selected, especially as two of them have some very poor decisions on their record. It's not fair just to write those off as "excuses" IMHO, there is some cause for concern and poor judges like Byrd shouldn't keep getting big fights. It doesn't matter that this might end in a KO.

Boxing fans are not saying anything. Most are casuals and that's exactly who Oscar is gearing Canelo toward. So most are rooting for the A side and will never have an issue with the deck being stacked in their fighter's favor. Canelo's rabid ethnic fan base that let's be honest drives the ship in Western boxing will also never complain about their boy getting every advantage.

Most people are just plain scum and have no sense of fair play!

Why make this thread UkGuy? You have pretty much instigated this

    Poor form from you!!!

I actually expect GGG to beat Canelo regardless

Canelo= Too much weights not enough speed work. He will throw about 30 punches per round and won't have the strength to keep GGG off.

I always thought Canelo was too small, actually he was too small when campaigning @ 154/155, now he's @ 160 he looks to have filled out and looks huge.

Thing is he just looks pumped up and GGG is naturally still bigger but in the ring the weight will be the same.

Canelo is too bulky and his foot speed which was always average will be even slower.
Canelo does have some fast hands and monster power but his work rate wont work against someone as big and tough as GGG, especially when he's too slow to run.

No, Bayless is a Vegas ref. GGG has never fought in Vegas before.

That's priceless: Do not complain about anything until it happens.

Go tie a steak to your genitals then stick it down a badger hole but do not voice any potential hazards until the badger actually bites your **** off!

It was news that boxing fans would be interested to hear. As the saying goes, don't shoot the messenger!

I didn't plan to set off a chain of complaining from GGG superfans and smug grinning from Canelo's fans, although in fairness I am not surprised by either.

We shall see whether you are right. I'm picking Canelo lol

I disagree, and call out the judges even when a fighter wins via KO.

As fans we get few big fights a year. This one is already tainted with the judges.

GGG will need to win at least 8 round cleanly. If there is a close round, Canelo is getting it, and in the final rounds if it goes the distance watch out for one go GGG's best round to be scored for Canelo.

Read what I wrote a bit more carefully, I only said not to complain about a robbery repetitively. What can you change by complaining anyway?

And voicing concerns about the competency or fairness of a judge is not the same as complaining about a forthcoming robbery which hasn't happened.

What do you disagree with? I have no problem with calling out bad judge scores even in the event of a KO.

I'm just saying that it's pointless to repetitively complain about a robbery that hasn't happened yet.

But it's fair play only if the guy you like gets the calls in his favor right? Stop trying to pretend like you're impartial and simply just want to see the best man win because you don't. You without a doubt have the biggest agenda on this forum and that's saying something.

And that is one of the great challenges for boxing fans, it's very tempting to support or turn a blind eye to stuff favouring the guy you like.

I'll admit, for example, when Parker fought Ruiz and was struggling I was finding myself hoping for a bit of "hometown" help, which I shouldn't have wanted at all.
