That wasn't what one poster said only today about it,he said on his visit to Mexico that he spoke to a lot of folk about boxing and to hear him tell it neither had much respect,obviously not an overall opinion but quite telling.

 

Other than GGG, Canelo has fought the big names. I think the fight will happen eventually just like the two divas Floyd and Manny eventually happened. I'm not a big fan but how can you hate the kid considering his resume?

 

Yes, after the Jacobs vs GGG fight . . . and STILL the Lineal MW Champ : Saul CANELLOOOOOOO ALVAREZ!!!

That fight won't establish a New Linage brainiac. Golovkin vs Jacobs is essentially a #1 contender match for the Lineal Title. The winner would presumably be ordered to face Canelo for a Total MW Unification. As long as the Lineal Champ is capable of making the weight of the division (160) and is expressing a desire to defend the Lineal Title, there is no grounds for a new lineage to be established.

 

Chavez will be Canelo's fifth lackluster opponent in a row, while a new crop of young guns have made themeselves known in his weight class. Canelo is cherry picking plain and simple.
