    :risas3: BRU HAAA HAAAAA

:bandit:GGG was Cotto's Mandatory and accepted "STEP ASIDE MONEY" allowing Cotto to meet Canelo with the agreement that the Winner would fight GGG!!!

The rest of your post is also NONSENSE as Canelo did say he would fight GGG @ the Middleweight 160 lb. limit then shouted out...

    "MEXICANS DON'T **** AROUND" !!!

    :applaudit:Then... then... El Pollo Canelo

    SURRENDERED THE BELT !!!

;) It's worthwhile to "DO YOUR HOMEWORK" before inventing "EXCUSES" !

GBP dominates the SouthWest Market. They aren't falling apart anytime soon. In fact he has two of the best prospects in the game.

People do not pay to see Canelo fight because he's undefeated, because he's not. People pay to watch him fight because he is an exciting boxer, he has proven to fight the best, and he's a class act.

Fighters like Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya do not need undefeated records to sell fights. They just need to bounce back from losses and fight with a warrior mentality.

Oscar De La Hoya matched Canelo against the best JrMW fighter in Lara, matched him against Trout right after he took Miguel Cotto to school. CLEARLY not the moves that a promoter who is coddling their fighters would take.

Great post. The only thing I'm not sure about, and it's really almost a non-issue, is that I think Cotto had a mandatory with GGG but instead opted to fight Daniel Geale (GGG's most credible opponent), and blew him out of the water in easier fashion than GGG was able to do.

    :risas3: BRU HAAA HAAAA !

Canelo TROLLS are spouting NONSENSE and then... go around patting one another on the back !

:eaea: Knew you would like any made up EXCUSE that's trying to "SPIN" Canelo's "SURRENDERING THE BELT"... it has as much factual substance as mosts of your posts Isal.

I don't care about him in particular. I would like to see if the corpse of JCC Jr. can do to Canelo what he did to Sergio Martinez. Now that would be something to see.

Step aside Money?? From the WBC??? So the WBC "paid GG off" so that they wouldn't enforce Cotto's mandatory?? So anotherwords the WBC and the GG were hand in hand in the Canelo becoming Mandatory process? What took them so long? Why did the WBC allow Cotto fight Geale if Golovkin was the mandatory? They weren't enforcing Cotto's mandatory if Golovkin was the mandatory. It's laughable for a fighter to be PAID OFF step aside money to avoid a fighter.

Canelo has made it clear that he is ready to fight Golovkin a 160 for the MW titles. He was ready then and he's ready now. He was born ready. It doesn't matter who has the WBC belt when Canelo vs Golovkin fight. Whoever wins that fight will become the WBC / Unified MW Champion. These fights are all building up to Canelo vs Golovkin at 160. Unless of course Jacobs beats Golovkin. The winner of Golovkin Jacobs is essentially mandated to fight Canelo the Lineal MW Champ later this year. Canelo is preparing for a move up to MW by fighting Chavez. Chavez is in the lineage of the Lineal MW Title as he started a series of events that put us here. Chavez in Round 12 vs Martinez is what cause Martinez to injure his knees, which led to Cotto a 154-lber becoming champ. So now fittingly Canelo fights the man who injured Martinez and led to these events that have unfolded regarding the WBC / Lineal Title.

I think people put to much stock in small things and not the overall picture, last year Alvarez had a bad year by his standards yet still had a best year out of fighters between 154-60.
This year if he fights and beats Chavez Jr, Golovkin, and Cotto in a rematch or Saunders there ain't too many who would be able to top that as well.
I wasn't a fan of dropping the belt but, since then more has been done on Canelos side to make the fight then Golovkin so I don't see a real reason to hate on the guy personally but that's just my opinion.

    The word is ENTITLEMENT.

He thinks he's a mega star, and thinks he should be treated as one, but the reality is that he is a 97K PPV fighter, and a 800K HBO fighter. Hardly the numbers of a star.
