Canelo probably will get 1 year bann, he is fighting only in May and September, so he can come back in 19 May, but after all the trashtalk Team Golovkin did they won’t rush, and they can say Canelo needs a warm up fight like O’Sullivan. With him or with another bumm they can still easily make a 5-600K PPV. And of course they are still waiting for GGG to get older.
And even if the rematch happens tho conditions and the won’t be great for Team Golovkin, after Sanchez and Gennady went a bit far with those interviews

For me it has already run its course. Ive lost interest. Maybe if Canelo serves a joke ban and is back this summer and they make it then but any later than that im not interested, Golovkin is aging and slowing.

That's what everyone was saying before Pac/Floyd finally took place. The interest will always be there. Still, I Wouldn't be surprised if didn't happen, at this point we should all move on, especially GGG.

Meh...Pretty much over 3G versus Canelo. The entire world saw 3G win already, and get jobbed on the cards. And this PED fail just killed the momentum and excitement of the rematch.

    Hopefully BJ is next.

Who is Canelo going to fight for big money other than GGG?
He already conned the gullible public into buying the Chavez Jr scam.
160 is full of big young hungry lions
    Good luck Canelo

I was keen on the rematch. But not any longer. Would rather see GGG and BJS contest a unification fight.

Would be interesting to see a poll on whether people are still keen for the rematch. It appears interest is waning.

    9/2019?

I was worried Golovkin would be too old by May 2018.

    **** that.

I don’t want to see Canelo get that bull**** win on his record.

How do you figure? Canelo was clean in Sept 2017 and G didn't "kill him" at all. Canelo outboxed him and landed the far more effective, better, significant punches. Golovkin was gifted a draw because he outvolumed Canelo in the middle rounds and was the aggressor more.

In the first fight, we know Canelo was clean because both fighters were enrolled in VADA testing and there were no positive tests. I don't get how this clenbuterol issue causes everybody to lose their minds and start acting like it proves Canelo wasn't clean in previous fights.

Golovkin lucked out with this clenbuterol shenanigans. It gives him another few months to hold on to his title.

We'll find out on Wednesday if the NSAC issues a ban, past fighters like Vargas (vs Salido) tested positive for clenbuterol and didn't get banned. Nery tested positive for a similar substance and didn't get banned because it was determined to be from meat contamination. If Canelo gets banned here, he would be treated far worse than other fighters from Mexico who didn't have their careers affected at all by clenbuterol positive tests.

I can't begin to describe how disapointing this whole saga is. We as fans have been looking forward to this rematch for months and we are being robbed of the fight that the boxing world needed to see. Fans claiming Canelo was cheating are only doing so to protect Golovkin from having to fight Canelo because they are scared of him losing his titles.

If the NSAC bans Canelo for any length of time, and the fight doesn't happen in September, I may stop being a boxing fan for a while. Like I said I can't begin to describe how disapointed I am that we're not weeks away from the rematch. And I can't understand fans who are like happy that the rematch isn't happening or think Canelo is a cheater when they know Mexico's issue with clenbuterol.

I don't blame Canelo for pulling out of the fight because the NSAC kept delaying the hearing and April 18th is just too close to May 5th, if Canelo didn't pull out it would put too much pressure on the NSAC to make some kind of morality based decision, since even if they cleared Canelo then, with the hearing being so close to the fight, it wouldn't be right to have the fight so close to a scandal. You really need months of buildup without this kind of a distraction for a fight of this magnitude to occur, so there are no excuses.

It will be interesting to see what the NSAC does on Wednesday, given all the publicity this has gotten, and how much pressure there is on them to do something, for PR purposes they may do a 6 month ban retroactive to the positive test just to placate the Golovkin fanbase, allowing for a September rematch.

But in reality, that would be holding Canelo to a complete different standard than past Mexican fighters who haven't had their careers affected by clenbuterol positive tests. It's also affected Canelo's career dramatically and put off the rematch for at least a few months and that's unfortunate.

But what it also does is destroys the myth that Canelo gets some kind of preferential treatment where the rules don't apply to him like many Golovkin fanboys have claimed. This whole ordeal destroys the myth that Oscar is cozy with Bob Bennett or pays of the NSAC. If that was the case than Bob Bennett and the NSAC would have cleared him immediately due to meat contmination. They didn't, and that shows that if anything Canelo is held to a higher standard and treated more strictly for a violation that other fighters from Mexico have not been punished for.

It shows that NSAC is actually less corrupt than the CSAC or the NYSAC, AC's that had let fights go on after positive clenbuterol tests without any penalty or hearing. We heard so much about how Golovkin fans wanted the rematch to be in NY or Somewhere other than Vegas, because the NSAC is supposedly so corrupt, but yet it turns out that those commissions have let fighters fight after clenbuterol tests and the NSAC is taking Canelo's positive test much more seriously when they could have just let the fight go on without any hearing or temporary suspension.

As a fight fan, this whole ordeal has really taken the fun out of the Canelo Golovkin rivalry. We as fans (even the Golovkin fanboy haters) deserved a fight for the ages May 5th, and now we're not getting it, and we have to wait longer which sucks. But hopefully the NSAC is satisfied that the result was from meat contamination and they will allow the fight to occur in September. If it is delayed until 2019, this will become another Mayweather Pacquiao situation where G (and maybe even Canelo by then if he is banned for a year or something) will be seen as past their best and we will have been robbed of the fight that the boxing world needed to see.

I'm just sayin, this sucks, like even if you hate Canelo, this still sucks, because if you're a true Golovkin fan you wanted to see Golovkin beat Canelo fairly and squarely and more convincingly than he did in the first fight (if you believe that).

Lets hope the NSAC clears this all up ensuring us that Canelo is a clean fighter and the clenbuterol was from Mexican meat and we get our rematch in September. And lets also hope that Golovkin doesn't get injured May 5th if he fights then. I heard about Canelo's knee operation, it didn't sound like anything serious. I will keep an eye on the situation, it would suck if we had to wait another year for this rematch.

    TL;DR.

Friggin Clenelo was more juiced than an apple farm and couldn't beat Golovkin with a team of picked judges and a favourable ref. But yeah, maybe he should fight GGG when he's 40, might have a chance.

2019? Maybe 2020. Golovkin might have something left in the tank in 2019. Can't be too careful.

Oh really? If he was more juiced than an apple farm how did he pass all those VADA drug tests last year?

Picked judges that scored the fight to Golovkin? Now he had favorable ref too? LOL. This is the first I've heard of the ref being corrupt too. What did the ref to do favor Canelo?

And how does all this conspiracy stuff jive with Canelo getting suspended for clenbuterol where past fighters have been allowed to fight? Surely if the conspiracy was as big as you believe it is, the VADA test would have been swept under the rug, and if it did get out Bob Bennett wouldn't have suspended Canelo delaying the fight? I mean he had precedent, other fighters in the past have been allowed to fight after testing for clenbuterol. No suspensions, no hearings, but Canelo is being treated stricter than usual.
