Canelo-Golovkin 3 - Is 168 at 40 too much for GGG?

He would look ridiculous at 175. He was bursting at the seams in his upper body in the Murata fight. 168 is his max in my opinion.

James isn't the most reliable when it comes to weight. YEARS before Canelo and 3G even fought, he said 3G was weight draining to stay at 160. Despite being close to weight already at the 30 day weigh ins

Another thing to remember is that GGG has that useless Jonathan Banks in his corner. I wouldn’t be surprised if GGG doesn’t understand what he is saying at points in the corner.

I remember in the fight against Dervyachenko Golovkin was essentially working things out for himself in the corner.

Hell of an achievement if he pulls it off...

The age is bad enough (with the trajectories that match the stereotypes) entering such a match but the weight as well does seem too much. I long claimed Canelo would not have success above 160 and was proven wrong. The height disadvantage is negated by the skills. We have to see if Golovkin looks a tad pudgy at the gut but based on him looking more ripped than ever against Murata, maybe he can carry right up and the weight ends up meaning nothing being that Canelo is still the same 5'8".

not really caanelo is shorter than him, he'll have no problem staying within range and boxing him, and turning him. just like he did in the 2nd fight. ggg just has canelos number.

I can only hope this goes the way you described.
Would love to see both bloody and trading like a fock EN ROCKY movie.

Win or lose , which I think GGG will lose, let GGG beat some of that red off the aze of the Ginger

GGG is taller and bigger than Hagler, saw a pic with them standing side by side and thought GGG was a heavyweight lol

I'd like to see Golovkin vs Charlo rather than Golovkin vs Canelo.

We have seen Golovkin vs Canelo twice and it will be boring to watch them fight for a 3rd time.

I'd like to see Golovkin smashing Charlo and take his belt. Andrade next.

After Murata I've changed my mind.

Golovkin clearly has a lot to offer and I'd favour him over any SMW not named Canelo.

Which means right now he's the toughest opponent Canelo can face SMW and below.

So ideally it's Beterbiev/Smith Jr. But Golovkin is the next best fight to be made.
