After reading your comments over the last month, I don't believe that it was tongue in cheek.

Fighting a mandatory isn't killing the sport.

Refusing to fight your mandatory by saying they need to earn a fight is killing the sport. Nobody is above the rules

    Take your biased specs off.

That's what being a mandatory challenger is...(well in principle at least)

    :deal

It's fans that allow **** like this that degrade the sport.

A disgrace to past Mexican greats. :deal

I had so much respect for Alvarez around the time he took the Trout and Lara fights. And while I don't give him a ton of credit for beating Cotto, that was a more than understandable fight to take. But this Khan fight is a joke and he should be ashamed of himself. And if he fights anyone but GGG or Mayweather next, he's quite clearly afraid to lose to GGG.

chasing paper trinkets is pointless...ggg is killing the sport by not taking the best fights and challenges...hes chasing worthless paper and hiding behind it.....ggg vs dom wade doesnt need to be made ever unless it was sandwiched between tough fights for ggg......im all for some light defenses or whatever in between some challenges

but all were getting is bum fights and step asides from ggg...that is killing the sport more than anything canelo is doing right now

canelo didnt invent the catchweight title fight...he was allowed to challenge for it at a CW!...hes making intriguing fights ....hes been in floyd/canelo....canelo/cotto....canelo/khan

ggg has been in ggg lemieux....ggg/wade....ggg/monroe.....-sigh-

yer 34 and you have a weak resume and no notable wins....and everyone already considers you the best mw anyway...so what do you do? chase more paper trinkets of course! naturally! LOL

    We're talking about natural weight.

Brandon was bloated against Bradley and looked truly awful.

    He's unconditioned.

Canelo is suited to fighting at JMW/MW.

    We're going around in circles.

GG wants to obtain all of the MW belts. That's his peroragative whether you think the division is weak or not. Stepping aside to obtain Lemieux's IBF was a good decision.

Again, how can you criticise his resume when Canelo, Saunders and Jacobs DON'T want to fight him?

If he fought those guys, his resume would be good. Yes?

    You're being ridiculous again.

How can stepping aside when it was in his best interest to do so, be worse than Canelo refusing to fight him, saying that he needs to earn it first even though he's his mandatory?

It's crazy if you think about it. He's getting ripped for having a weak resume, but people are defending the guys who won't fight him, which would enhance it.

Think about that for a moment.

his resume would be improved...how much im not sure...but the reality is almost anything decent would be an improvement....and yet he continues to move laterally

his prerogative is stupid and is what is actually killing the sport...u keep talking about killing the sport but what hes actually doing is the worst......he doesnt need those trinkets for anything....he hides behind them....we already know hes the best mw....so what does collecting them prove to us? nothing!.......well always go in circles till someone holds that guy accountable.......which nobody ever does.....hes chasing worthless paper and people are acting like his excrement doesnt stink.......there are much bigger challenges for him and he hides behind some unification dream that doesnt matter anymore

if he stopped taking step asides hed have the wbc belt already and wouldnt be chasing it...and if he had the wbc belt whomever had the ibf belt would be running towards him so hed easily collect it.....instead he waits around for the wbc belt and defends the ibf title...lol

GGG earned a crack at that belt over 3 years ago. It's the lineal championship, and he's been the uncrowned champ of the division for years. When he half-killed Macklin I tweeted something like "Sergio Martinez should just mail GGG that belt. And I say that because I like Sergio."

    Lou DiBella retweeted it.

    Lou DiBella was Sergio's promoter.

GGG is the king of the division, and it's time we had a champion with the ***** to face him.

Good points, but Saunders and Jacobs have no real good wins and GGG won't get any real credit after he beats them (like Lemieux). Martin Murray is honestly a better win than anybody in the division right now, including Cotto and Alvarez if we're talking credibility in the division as opposed to name value.

Golovkin is El Pollo Alvarez' mandatory, he was Cotto's mandatory also. WBC promised him that he would get the winner of the Cotto/Alvarez fight..................Cotto paid step-aside money to keep from fighting Golovkin, now El Pollo is refusing to fight Golovkin...............El Pollo will not fight a 160 lb. fight for the 160 lb. belt...............Jr. Middleweight is 154, middleweight is 160 and always has been. Will Oscar try to change the middleweight division to 155? Sounds like that is what he is doing..............

I lost alot of respect for Alvarez, real Mexicans don't make excuses and never back away from a fight, whether they know they goin to lose. The fearlessness, that's what makes them great. A corrido should be made on how he lost his wevos.
