Ahh, that’s right, you need to be on a boxing forum and post over 73,000 times to know whether a guy is heavy-fisted or not. Sadly, I think you take pride in that many posts, when in fact it should come with great embarrassment that you need to be on here day in and day out for nearly 15 years. I guess you better not get that username banned or your life’s work is ruined. But back to the topic, how many fighters, whether big punchers or not, raise their KO% when fighting the elite? GGG has stopped quite a few contenders who haven’t been stopped before him (or not in a very long time). Just about everyone who’s been in the ring with him say you feel every punch he throws. Maybe he’s not Julius Jackson, but he’s certainly a powerful puncher. I think had he fought Jacobs and Canelo closer to 30 years old than 35+, he’s blows them out early and easily. I didn’t think he fought his best fight against Canelo (and maybe credit to Canelo or that simply the moment was too big for him the first time around), but he dictated the pace and most non-biased observers feel as though he won the majority of the rounds. Jacobs he downed and was never in harm, even though Jacobs has serious power himself (or because he couldn’t stop GGG - or Arias/Sulecki - is that now questionable also?). Fighting more cautiously out of respect for the quality of your opposition doesn’t mean you suddenly don’t have power anymore.
Was GGG's original game plan to miss 70% of his punches, NOT cut off the ring but follow in straight lines and get countered with power punches, and completely neglect punches to Canelo's body, and be content throwing measuring jabs for most of the fight? Look, the reality was this, in the first three rounds Canelo's boxing skills were too much for GGG. WHEN Canelo's stamina let him down in round four GGG was able to score points using his jab and better conditioning to press Canelo. WHEN Canelo got his 2nd wind in the last three rounds GGG was just following Canelo in straight lines and getting outslugged.
I wouldn't get in a discussion of life if I were you, I promise you the ring wheels on my car are worth more than the garbage you live in. So lets just leave it at that unless you really want to be buried, delivery boy. The topic is simple. Golovkin's record is literally padded with hopeless bums. The man has been exploding into arenas as a 1/100 favorite yet his fans hyped these joke fights(thanks to social media hype, which mainly targets the clueless and brainless) as if they were Ali vs Frazier. You can type a post longer than the list of deliveries you took care of today, it still won't change that reality. The man has been stacking bums carefully selected to hit the canvas as hard enough as possible to easily deceive brainless delivery boys like you. Since losers like you are the majority, they were able to compile a pile of crap and call it a fan base.
Well I think Byrd would have been more willing to give Golovkin rounds if Golovkin didn't get hit with the kind of big punches he did in rounds 6, 8 and 9, or if Golovkin would have landed big punches on Canelo. Lets say Golovkin didn't get hit with those uppercuts in Round 6 and 8, or that big right hand in the middle of round 9. In those rounds, lets say Golovkin would have been a tad more cautious there, and didn't get hit with such eye catching punches, or maybe landed one or two eye-catching punches himself, then surely Byrd would have given those rounds to Golovkin. In giving Canelo those rounds, I think it shows that Byrd was being consistent, in siding with the eye catching punches vs Golovkin's slight advantage in "hits". (even if some were partly slipped) In round 7, she gave the round to Golovkin because 1) Golovkin had a long period of sustained "effective" aggression 2) Canelo didn't slip many of Golovkin's punches like he did in other rounds 3) Canelo's uppercuts were slightly better in round 6 and 8 than the one in Round 7 was. (though it was hard to see from the camera angle) So I think what made it impossible for Golovkin to win on Byrd's card had to do with him walking into those uppercuts in rounds 6 and 8, and GGG's inability to land on Canelo cleanly and with impact. (at least in the rounds she gave to Canelo like 6, 8 and 9) There's a fine line between being aggressive and trying to win a round by voluming your opponent and getting caught with big punches.
I won’t get into a post battle with someone as “impressive” as you, it’s literally your life. You post on average 15 times a day, every day, for nearly 15 years. If that’s not pathetic, I don’t know what is. I clearly struck a cord and perhaps you realize how sad you actually are, even to people who have never met you. It’s that obvious. I certainly won’t entertain your personal attacks because you haven’t the faintest clue who I am, but props on your ring wheels, they must be spectacular! (BTW- I live in Manhattan... you can’t afford where I live, nobody who spends as much time as you do on a forum can.... unless you’re a trust-fund baby lol) Again, back to topic (and where I will now stay)... you clearly post nothing of note other than again pointing to a 1/100 odds that is meaningless. Rosado, Macklin, Ishida, Rubio, Murray, Stevens, Brook, etc. may not be the greatest resume ever but it’s not exactly weak. He didn’t rely on fortunate judging or win on the cards, he absolutely decimated them. Body shots, one-punch concussions, broken bones, busted up faces, beaten into submission, etc. he’s done it all. That’s power.
Very stupid post. Against those guys I hope he wouldn’t leave it up to judges. The point of a mismatch is you’re supposed to look good. When the opponent wasn’t a can, Golovkins “power” goes missing for some reason.
With respect I know you believe what you write unlike some and that’s fair enough, admirable even but have you never stopped to question yourself against the commentators,ex pros, current pros, boxing writers and all those involved who’s opinions are said to matter? Could it really be that such a large percentage on the day and who could forget the crowd, had it so badly wrong and that it’s you and a few others that actually have it right? I’d love to know how you score other fights that doesn’t involve Canelo just to see how you see things. Lol you’re so passionate about it you make me wanna believe
El Pollo the PED cheater lost that fight period! He landed more punches, landed the harder punches, I had it 8 rounds to 4 easily. Harold Lederman had it 8 rounds to 4, Paulie had it 9 rounds to 3, Nacho Beristain had Golovkin winning the fight, the pro-El Pollo crowd booed the decision they had Golovkin winning the fight, just watch the interviews! Bob Bennett told me personally that Byrd had a bad night, he did not agree with her card, 10 rounds to 2 for El Pollo! LOL! Sick. That fight was no draw, not at all............................Golovkin is a good fighter. Funny, I did not hear one bad word about Charlo fighting a cripple who could hardly walk across the ring, then beating Pee Wee Herman who was a thin weak, sick, skinny delicate opponent. Or how about Spence fighting an unknown fighter Ocampo who had never fought a top 20 fighter, not complaints about that fight, then there is Wilder fighting winos from the alley! Double standard! Golovkin was going to fight Saunders if El Pollo chickened out, a PED cheater, Golovkin beat him without PEDS!
this is why I don't think the fight should have been made. The story is the testing and not the fight.
Its possible they unearthed that so they have another belt to take off him in September. I wouldn't put it past Hoya. The two camps hate each other with a passion.
