When do you guys think this bout is going to happen?

I honestly thinkg Canelo should take a tune up at 160 just to acclimate and get truly comfortable at that weight. Then he should be good for Gennady at 160...

    What do you guys think??

I'd agree about the tuneup if Canelo didn't immediately go after being the lineal, WBC champ. Well, he did so apparently acclimating isn't a big deal to him. Since he is now the lineal champ, he shouldn't be surprised of the consequences of having to face his immediate mandatory. Plain and simple.

If he still feels he needs to feel out the divsion, then drop the belt. Again, I would have zero problem- and would actually want- Canelo getting a 160 tuneup, but not if he fought for and won the WBC MW title.

I think we may see him drop the belt or maybe take a tune up....I dunno, maybe I am wrong, I would get a massice RESPECT ***** if this dude right after Cotto immediately takes on GGG that would be bad assery of the bad ass.

Why acclimitise? He weighs more than GGG on fight night.

GGG is not going to get his chance anytime soon. The WBC pres is already talking that Canelo/GGG needs to marinate like Floyd/Manny. Seriously, the sanctioning body said that! If that doesn't speak to greed and corruption, I don't know what will. I anticipate the WBC doing everything they can to let Canelo keep the title and fight exhibitions and voluntaries until Golovkin moves on.

For real. Alvarez looked like a linebacker in the ring. He must have outweighed Cotto by at least 15 pounds. Too bad there are no more same-day weighins. It would eliminate a lot of this nonsense.

Obviously it's clear that canelo is a good boy. He was a good boy in giving up that wbc belt to ggg.

    No doubt

Canelos a true JMW and needs a few fights to settle in at 160

Canelos letting GG collect the belts for him before he knocks GGs head off

    Smart business and boxing decision.

Canelo is on the way to becoming a good boy, all on his own, unless he fights 3g.

the only way he can not become a good boy is to face 3g. iN which case he might not have a choice of becoming a good boy.
