I think Canelo has a great style. I really like watching him fight. The issue is, what does he do at Middle Weight? Did GGG give the blue print for all other middle weight boxers with: taller, stronger, more reach, etc?
Canelo is small for a MW. GGG showed how a solid jab can pretty much hold a Canelo at bay? He didn't have an answer for it. He also exposed to the fullest, that Canelo has a horrible gas tank and that he can't fight 3 minutes per round...

Again I like Canelos style but he might have problems at MW after this fight... thoughts

I don't think GGG exposed any new weaknesses from Canelo. Canelo has always fought at a measured pace due to stamina issues, and always had slow feet. He's a decent power puncher but his highlight reel KOs over chinny guys caused people to overrate it.

He's always cut a lot of weight so he's not really small at the weight class.

No real new weaknesses of Canelo were shown. If anything he looked a bit more crisp and sharp defensively than before.

That sounds about right... I just haven't seen Canelo move to so much in fight or get hit as much in any fight

When is GGG gonna take a risk and move up to 168 like he said he would? Canelo proved to be a beast at 160 for the first time and never got knocked down or dazed by the boogeyman Golovkin, but Golovkin is afraid to gain 8 pounds.

He could have fought Ward at 175 in accordance to Sanchez

I was thinking the opposite, i was thinking Canelo has just made a big statement that he has arrived and has arrived big time to the Middleweight division. And i think he lost that fight. Ive been sure Oscar has been avoiding putting him in with Middleweights for a reason and was waiting for him to get exposed against GGG.

We already knew his gas tank isnt great these days weighing what he does on those little Welterweight legs so it was no exposure and i think he managed it quite well considering the pace Golovkin was forcing. His reach will be short compared to alot of the top Middleweights but he is a counter puncher he waits until his opponants are in range anyway and he did OK against the divisions best jabber.

He lost but if im honest i was quite impressed by him.

Golovkin requesting catchweights for Ward like the commie coward is really is inside. Hiding from that Oakland whooping. GGG fans are coddling this grown man just to have a hero to hold on to. It's ridiculous and weird.

Then GGG went on to fight a unproven welterweight. I guess beating up on welters is cool as long as you are GGG. Cherry pick anyone? (He couldn't even knock Brook down but Spence did.)

You guys better stop acting like this guy is some sort of saint in boxing . He has a super questionable habit of taking the easiest path too. I will keep his video history fresh in your mind anytime someone calls someone a cherrypicker or catchweight king when trying to defend this man.

If anything the one that might had gotten exposed was GG himself he couldn't even knock down a former 154 fighter that once fought at 147 lol

If you consider this a blue print: Having an uber chin, and can take counters all night while constantly putting constant presser and not burning yourself out, with a good jab, then yes. But in reality, No.

It's really hard to knock down Canelo... he moves to fast and has great balance... it will be tough for anyone to do it...
