Yeah that is a valid point. I know when I'm over visiting Mexico I speak very slowly as I'm far from fluent with my half AZE Spanish

I sort of wish he would of just broke out in Spanish and went off but oh well.

Canelo looks like he is going to beat the kid silly.

I rather have a fighter speak in his native language and communicate his thoughts thoroughly and eloquently and have a proper interpreter than for the fighter to try to speak English and sound simple AF the way Pacquiao, Golovkin, and Chavez Jr. sound.

If this is the biggest Mexican fight why isn't it actually fought in Mexico? If it's so huge, couldn't it fill a 100k soccer stadium?

I dont.. I would rather fighters who fight in the U.S. learn English but do it like Cotto who always interviewed in Spanish until they mastered English. Also not everyone is gifted with a linguistic gift.

Cool Isal. I've been reading this forum for a while and I know you are keen supporter of Mexican fighter. I love the 80's zarate, olivares and the bantams.

Cotto wasn't at 154 long and he also was definitely fighting out of his division. We all know that. Even Mosley, who was shot regardless, fighting at 154 which wasn't his best weight either.

Mental games play a role in all sports. I saw an agitated Canelo getting pouty. It was easy to see.

Props to CHAVEZ JR. for calling someone out for picking on smaller guys?

...even though he dwarfs Canelo? (to say nothing of his past history)

    ...ok.

Yes, JCC JR is bigger than Canelo, but we all know JCC JR is somewhat limited. I may think Pollo is overrated, but I got him beating JCC JR.

Pollo was pulling up fighters who were much smaller and had zero business at certain weights. Combine that with fighting some scrubbers and you have a lightning rod of criticism.

Let's look at some of his recent fights.

Smith, trash. We all know it. Top 15-20.

Cotto, past his best and at probably two divisions outside his comfort zone.

Khan, at least 2 divisions outside his comfort zone and chinny at 140.

Angulo and Kirkland, not top 10 guys. Fact.

Lopez, 2 divisions past where he belonged.

Mosley, shot to bits and 1-2 weight classes past his best weight. Mosley sucked at 154.

Trout and Lara, arguably his best scalps who were fighting at what is their best weights, he barely won and some had him losing.
