Yeah but going off what you've said regarding other people if a new contender comes along you will just say "Who have they fought though?"
So it's just a weak way to dismiss potential contenders.

maybe off in the sense that he came in with a poor strategy and made no adjustments and appeared to gas midway through

you get the feeling he could learn and be better prepared but Bivol just won so clearly its tough for me to think the rematch goes much differently. If anything Bivol might be able to do more in a second fight as he poured it on later and might be able to start his rally sooner

Yeah kind of like how you and others dismiss Plant and Saunders because "who have they fought" and "168 is a weak division". Not to say Plant or Saunders are impressive, becasue they're not and it's true that super middle weight is weak right now

When someone i see has the tools to beat Canelo I'll say something, like i kept telling everyone Bivol would play with Canelo

I never said that about Saunders but nice try at conflating....
Saunders was good at Middle but idle when it came to training. since going to Super Middle he had looked poor. I said Plant was untested which is true. 168lb is weak at this time but that's not Canelo's fault as he can only fight who's there. Saying that "others" were overstating that achievement like Canelo is the GOAT at that weight and that he could challenge even Usyk......
So really it's just people like me pushing back at the hyperbole. There's no need to be so defensive unless you are a family member or something.

Thats why i said you and "others".
Benavidez is just as untested at 168. His best win will be a old blown up middleweight provided he beats Lemieux. So if you write off Plant on Canelos record because he's untested why come for me for saying Canelo clearly beats Benavidez. It's strange logic. Perhaos Benavidez does gives him problems, but he's not beating Canelo nor will he gave an argument on the cards, i don't see it
I never called Canelo the goat

I was hardly coming at you I merely said he would give Canelo a good fight because he is young and hungry. I didn't even say he would win.
I agree he hasn't fought anyone that good yet but that was my point that up and comers will have a thin record anyway.
I wasn't attacking you or Canelo in any way.
I never said you had called him the GOAT but you are aware surely of the asinine posts leading upto the Bivol fight by the usual suspects.
The fact is Canelo may have another fight with GGG but if he doesn't win the rematch with Bivol then his ambitions at Light Heavy are done.
I can't see him fighting Beterbiev in the next two years which would mean being at Super Middle. in which case he will have to fight other options there. At that point we will see how he fares. he could beat everyone but until he does that we don't really know.
