dang near impossible. but if you bring only a belt, then youre worth what youre worth. canelo brings millions to the table, hes worth what hes worth. 2 grown men are deciding whats worth what to them.
Man look at the words you wrote. Look at the post you responded to. Look at the poster you responded to.
i personally dont care where he fights. i can gauge how much of a challenge it is on a fight by fight basis. i know which fights are gimmes, like plant, and which are achievements based on difficulty. thats what im gonna measure when i line him up next to past greats.
My view on this from Bivol's perspective, is yes, he said he could make 168, but under what circumstances? + I'm betting it was said with a clear insurance policy that his 175 title would NOT be on the line + I'm betting it was contingent on a number of other points probably difficult to achieve now, such as a longer training camp to make 168 comfortably, ensuring the fight date was acceptable. This is what sucks about the whole A-side, diva antics in modern boxing - any contender will bend over backwards and compromise themselves in multiple ways just for a piece of the pie, and the A-side knows it and maximises every advantage accordingly. Bivol should be very clear here and say, yes - happy to fight at 168 for the 168 titles. Want the 175 title? Then we fight at 175. This will be like the Cotto 155/160 thing all over again, Canelo captures Bivols belt @170 catchweight, then vacates to avoid Beterbiev at the full 175 - just like when he vacated to avoid a closer-to-prime-GGG. I hope Bivol tell's him he's having a giraffe!
This catchweight is stupid. Canelo has always rehydrated to a light heavyweight from years ago, hes over 180 pounds. Bivol doesn't even cut weight probably look at his body fat and musculature. He's always been a light heavy.
Btw, i dont remember Bivol saying that he can make 168 in 5 weeks on short notice, you also need 2 weeks to acclimate. If drainelo catchwarez really wants that fight he would allow Bivol fight at 175. Bivol aint a puncher and canela got judges in his pocket anyway...
