Canelo handicapping Bivol at catchweight

Why Canelo fans are making excuses for not fighting at 175 ? when he beat best guy there(Canelos teams words) and is proven to have KO power at that weight ?

 

The hell do posters know about Bivol's ability to make any weight??

 

Bivol was chosen 2 weeks ago.

Except Bivol himself just didn't know - so both mentally and physically he will not be ready.

....and because the fight is somewhere between 169lbs and 175lbs Bivol's LHW belt will be on the line despite him being handicapped going into the bout.

Smart smart smart from Canelo.

I remember it was said by Bivol for ages. Don't think many have been calling for a fight AT SMW as its not really worth anything to either man.

 

And the rehydration clause will be zero lbs, Bivol will have to tie one hand behind his back, shoelaces tied together and will only be allowed to punch after the 7th round onwards.

 

No ASSOL, JMIQ22 and Shadow defending this? Weird....

 

Bivol should take the money, he is all about speed/combos and timing....if he can make a catchweight...whatever it will be 170/171....he should take it, he will only be quicker.

 

Bivol said himself he can make 168 comfortably several times so posters might not know much but bivol himself does

It covers the whole situation, including predicting this kind of response to a proposed catchweight match. As was outlined in that topic the catchweight makes sense given the weight difference and the statements made by Bivol about how he could make 168 no problem. The argument was made that Bivol needed more time than a 6 week camp to get down to 168. So that's how we end up with a catchweight. Bivol trying to drag Canelo up in weight because Bivol, who is essentially going back on his word that he can make 168, now is apparently having doubts about his ability to make 168 no problem. So it is Bivol, not Canelo who is demanding the catchweight. Canelo of course would prefer to fight at his weight class 168-lbs.

Are you surprised Bivol said that then demanded a catchweight above 168? Why should Canelo have to move up in weight. If Bivol can't get down to 168 like he said he could then there shouldn't be a fight. I'm tired of opponents demanding Canelo fight at catchweights. He's the champ at 168-lb he shouldn't have to cater to other fighters weight demands.

 

Canelo beat (how did you guys put it?), the BEST LtHW when he beat Kov. There's is NO need for a CW fight for canelo FFS...

 

Yet another fight that will have an asterisk next to it, yay I won't be watching
