Canelo has a better chamce of beating floyd than manny does

Canelo struggled with Alfonso Gomez.

 

I don't even know if Canelo will beat Mosley. I suspect he will outwork Shane and win a decision.

 

canelo is a decent fighter with a big punch, but he's predictable.

Manny is a weird fighter and his rhythm is, at it's very best, way more unpredictable and unorthodox. JMM has fought him so many times he is used to it in front of him. Manny has a way better shot than slow, slow, slow Canelo. the guy that beats floyd is going to have to be either incredibly lucky or very fast. He will see that orthodox style coming a mile away. Floyd is a master at fighting orthodox boxers.

 

Oh god what is this ****... Canelo is a white mexican who wants to be slick black. After Floyd schools the hype, next time you see him he'll be wearing fishnets

Getting outboxed by Marquez for a 3rd time is not the same as being behind on the cards against Alfonso Gomez. Manny's upper body movement is more elusive than Canelo, moves quicker on his feet, has greater hand-speed, has a more dynamic punching arsenal, probably hits as hard or at least more explosively, and to top it all off, is a southpaw. The only thing Canelo really has on him is size.

 

at the end of the day.....styles make fights what they are. JMM needed an attacking style to work off and Pac fit the bill for him.

JMM didnt have that luck aginst Mayweather cos he know JMMs style and chose a fight strategy that would make JMM look real silly and Jmm hardly landed a punch in the process.

Floyd can fight most styles better than those guys in front of him.It is that that seperates him from the rest. It is what it is. Canelo wouldnt have a prayer against a floyd or a pacman.He could get lucky i guess. But he would be the underdog bigtime imo.

 

Maybe 3-4 years down the road when we have Canelo in his prime and Floyd is retired this would be an interesting question to debate. But if Canelo has peaked and fights Floyd today I really see the kid getting ****ed up. I think Manny gets ****ed up too by Floyd but just not as much lol
