Fury was significantly more muscular around the shoulders even than before the lay-off. He also punched significantly harder.

His harder punching had to a large degree to do with that he sat down more on his punches, of course, but I see a stylistic change with Canelo as well. He focuses more on single power punches and has probably worked more on maximum power in single punches in training.

That could be the difference maker along with physical maturity and less draining. Of course, he could be on some new gear as well, but I don't think it's self evident.

 

Mayweather wouldnt allow those wraps and would specify pillow gloves. Hed have peds anx not allow canelo to have them. Hed have his judges and ref...ring etc or he wouldnt fight. Hed have his weight or he wouldnt fight

Absolutely, Roberto Duran was a great puncher at 135 pounds . He was still able to punch decently at 160 but he couldn't KO hardly anyone. Now look at Canelo, he punches far harder now than he ever did over 20 pounds heavier and they are of similar height .The only way Duran would turn into a crushing knockout puncher at 160 would be steroid use. He'd have beaten Hagler with the pharmacy cocktail that Canelo uses. It is amazing that people won't see that Canelo is a roid monster
