The Cotto which Pac knocked out wasn't the same Cotto which Alvarez fought.

Then he wasn't like Canelo. Neither does just hitting harder mean that he was overall better than Canelo. Foreman hit harder than Ali.

Trout looked bigger and physically stronger to me.
Liam Smith looked the same size.

no he was not better.. He is bigger and could use that to land punches on GGG someone else might not, but to say he is better than Canelo. No way..

And what has Trout done since? NOTHING.
Canelo is media hype. He stepped up and Mayweather boxed his ears off-it wasn't even close.
And now GGG struggled with Jacobs and all of the sudden Canelo is eager to fight.
I'll tell you what: if GGG hasn't slipped any he beats the hell out of Canelo.

Sometimes bigger is part of better.

That's true, Canelo himself agrees and says it's his most dangerous fight.

However, to be fair, Golovkin has never fought someone with Canelo's toughness and ability to slip punches either.

Power is just one of the advantages in determining the outcome when it's 2 fighters of a similar size. Skills, reach, speed, chin and mental toughness are equally important.
There are a lot of intangibles quality we can't measure until they actually square off. Eventhough Canelo never fought at 160, he still carry the weight perfectly strong. And GGG might not have advantages over Canelo on those other criterias.

that is true. I was watching some of Canelo's fights also the Kirkland fight. Which shows his brawling ability. He gets hit but most guys will in a brawl if a guy is willing to be hit. One thing about GGG he does not move his head enough.. If Canelo has power on Saturday he could win. GGG might get hit a lot on Saturday. It is a hard one to pick

Kirkland can't fight, Golovkin would have easily knocked him out also. Chavez, Jr. is not in Golovkin's class, not at all..........................Lara beat Alvarez, Void, Trout, but has Alvarez ever fought? Why do you think that Alvarez does not have to take even one drug test, yet Golovkin has to take many? Alvarez can weigh as much as he wants, but Golovkin can't. Alvarez has a rematch clause, but Golovkin was not allowed the same. Oscar owns the judges, boxing commission and the referee. If it's Bayless, well................he's an idiot!
