Names and prime (when that fighter is at his prime) names carry more weight IMO.
Canelo has some good "names" in the win column but a prime name reflects his ONE OFFICIAL DEFEAT"

I think Canelo is just adding a name with this Jr fight after all his Fathers name carries merit in Mexico but Jr is so rusty and drained this fight is a shame.

Trust me, after Canelo KOs Chessburger Jr we will forever hear how he went up in weight ( Broner lived off this with the Paulie fight) and beat a legend....Ummmmm....Disgraceful

 

this fight means nothing in terms of legacy or resume for canelo....never thought it did for a second..or implied it

its a bitter pill for golovkins fans to swallow...to realize canelo is a bigger draw, has a better resume and can find other money fights without golovkin....its really tough for them to bite down on and chew....its a tough reality....golovkin and his fans are desperate for validation...they finally stepped in against a good MW and had a tough time....they really want that JR MW big scalp to validate golovkins lack of career

 

Canelo doesn't need to prove anything. All roads lead to Canelo. Rest assured that Golovkin's turn for a Canelo payday will come. He just needs to wait in line like a Good boy.

Its no one's fault but Golovkin that he's 35 and scrambling to have a legacy defining fight at the tail end of his career.

He should of thought about that when he was busy KO bums and rejecting offers.

Its interesting to see how personal these guys take this GGG-Canelo rivalry. They have stooped down to slinging personal attacks on members of this site, amongst each other. What's the point? Almost seems like they have their own support system.

 

My guess is that most of Golovkin die hard fans here, are young dumb millennials still in high school. Im almost sure of that.

the sad part is golovkin is a good fighter....but the same people that rip him have respect for guys like kova and loma.....these fanboys cant understand how anyone could dare say a negative thing about golovkin..like hes beyond reproach for knocking out dom wade and willie monroe or something....most everyone has real respect for kova and loma but those same guys will knock golovkin...i am one of those guys...im not doing for any reason other than that golovkins choices/resume leave him open to such attacks
