was just asking because i did hear fighters during catchweights prevent the heavier fighters from rehydrating too high....rehydration clauses i believe...i was just checking with more knowlegable fight fans thats all....plus that was my biggest fear about the catchweight was that Nelo wouldnt be able to hydrate comfortably as he wanted to...im fine with the catchweight as long as there is no rehydration clause.

Yea I saw that episode if First Take also, and has the same question, but then I realized that Stephen Smith and Skip Bayless may be knowledgeable about most sports, but when it comes to boxing, they are cluless. I've heard several of their debates on boxing, usually Mayweather and his opponent, and I get frustrated listening to two guys who should be knowledgeable about a sport before they debate it, yet they DKSAB.

As far as I know their is no same day weigh-in or rehydration clause. Canelo and Mayweather will be able to Rehydrate after the weigh-in, which will take place the day before the fight, which means both fighters should come in healthy and strong.

Please give SAS and SB a WIDE berth when it comes to boxing discussion. Canelo has to weigh 152 for the standard Friday weigh-in, but there are ZERO other weight stipulations, confirmed by Leonard Ellerbe, as reported by Dan Rafael when the fight was announced.

    These threads make me laugh.

There will NEVER be a re hydration clause.

No promoter would never put his name to such a thing.

Nobody can cap someone's natural rehydration limit.

    It's absurd.

Just have a think about the numerous problems it could cause.

As for Canelo weighing the same on fight night, ha! the only way that would happen, is if he wasn't allowed to eat or drink ANYTHING from after the weigh in.

That's the only way he could possibly stay at around the same weight.

So he'd be in the ring without having had any liquids or food for over a day.

    It's beyond laughable!
