It could be favoritism or it could be the judges just being super impressed by how he fought and the punches he landed. I mean throughout boxing history we've seen rogue judges. For example, a judge had Sugar Ray Leonard beating Hagler 118-110. Was that judge showing favoritism towards SRL? That judge may well have been, in the Hearns rematch all 3 judges had the fight extremely close but most of the public thought Hearns won clearly. (1 judge had it a draw, another judge had SRL winning by a point)

So I've given you two examples of judges that gave SRL decisions that the vast majority of the public disagreed with. Those examples are worse examples of favoritsm towards SRL than Bryd and Ross's supposed favoritism of Canelo in GGG 1 and vs Mayweather.

6 months is standard, other fighters didn't even get suspended at all for clenbuterol. Now there's a threshold. :deal:

Stay on topic. Canelo has had judges give him ridiculous cards in his favor in many fights, such as 114-114, and 108-110.

Don't you mean 118-110? It's a matter of interpretation. You interpret those scores as you want in such a way to not deal with how a judge could score it like that.

As someone who scored Canelo GGG 1 about 8 rounds to 4, while I don't agree with Byrd giving him 10 rounds, her score is still a hell of lot closer to what actually happened then the vast majority who had GGG winning. So we have a real "interpretation" problem here and I find it rather ironic that many of those who laugh at Byrd for being so off are people who didn't even have the right guy winning, who just gave GGG rounds for just being active or for just coming forward and not paying attention to the punches that landed clean.

The most important job a judge has is to have the correct result, anotherwords to have the right guy winning. Now while Adalaide Byrd might have showed Canelo too much favoritism, the fact is that she ended up scoring the bout closer to what actually happened than the vast majority of the public who delusionally had GGG winning, some "clearly".

So we need to keep things in perspective, yes Byrd gave a few too many rounds to Canelo, but you and many others on the other side of that didn't give enough credit to Canelo out of some kind of GGG fandom or expectation for what was gonna happen. Some of you gave GGG the win by counting punches and not paying attention to what landed clean. That's worse than Byrd since you had the wrong guy winning.

You are right, I do mean 118-108.

The "right guy winning" certainly wasn't Canelo in that fight, and judging off expectations is exactly how you and other Canelo fans justify giving Canelo the second fight.

Byrd was suspended from major fights after that card. Not even ODLH defended that score. Best Canelo himself could say was "I didn't score the fight round by round".

Yes it was and you are simply in denial about what happened. Canelo came out and gave GGG an absolute schooling. Through 4 and a half rounds Canelo was in total control and GGG was chasing him looking discouraged and out of ideas.

GGG turned the tide in those middle rounds and it turned into a good fight, but overall Canelo was far more impressive that night that GGG was. The way he fought, to not overextend himself, to give GGG that kind of footwork, to build up those big shots by limiting output, it was a very impressive performance. GGG was not nearly as impressive that night. And Canelo finished those last 3 rounds strong. Canelo showed us footwork that nobody expected most didn't even know he had that kind of footwork, so on that alone expectations were a big part of the scoring. Many people who had GGG winning were the same people who predicted GGG would KO or hurt Canelo and when none of that happened, they didn't want to look stupid with their prediction so they went into biased GGG scoring argument mode, and in the process not allowing themselves to process what actually happened. This is worse than Byrd's 118-110, at least she saw what happened, who was schooling who, who was landing more body shots, who was showcasing better defense, who landed the bigger harder more significant shots, etc.

That's twice by my count. 2/6 cards in two fights.

Look at the above staement...What it shows is an mind slip in decent society, in my world age is reverered not denigrated by an ar5ehole . You may say its that idiot iSAL spouting off as usual , but I say it shows more (not a surprise) about the type of scumbag that thinks like this using age as a insult.
Unfortunately ageism is a socially tolerated form of discrimination, as shown by this social outcast iSAL,
Obviouslythis guy has no original thought process so relys on & unwittingly creates damaging sterotypes picked up by equally lower intelligent people, We dont stand for blatant racism on this forum so why are sneaky against comments allowed to seep into this ,generally, enjoyable place?
Some might think ,that iii is making a fuss etc, but no ,sorry, this is how this type of behaviour creeps in & becomes the norm . I find disrespect towards older people a serious & degrading thing in life so to see comments here about age in a disrespectful manner ,imo ,adds to make this unpleasant environment.

At the very least I think iSAL owes C.J an apology...if he's man enough...

The is no talking reason with somebody who defends Byrd's card, a scorecard not even ODLH could defend.
2 of 6 cards were enough to change the result in two fights, as Floyd should've had a ud and GGG should've gotten the win.

Floyd still won. GGG fight could've gone either way.

Not defending it, Byrd is on one extreme and those who had GGG winning "clearly" are on the other extreme. What actually happened was in between those 2 extremes : a close but clear Canelo win. I am pointing out that she had it closer to what actually happened then those who had GGG winning particularly those who had GGG winning "clearly". Byrd may have given too many rounds to Canelo, but at least Byrd saw what actually happened. At least she had the right guy winning, unlike you who continue to argue GGG won, the fighter who was exposed and schooled for a majority of the bout.

We certainly also must take into account the opinions of Soviet fanboys.

Should we take into account the opinions of people like yourself who DKSAB?

    Because there’s enough of you.
