You'd think Showtime wouldn't of been so dumb as to allow Floyd the complete control he enjoyed selecting opponents on a fight-to-fight basis with HBO in exchange for such a massive guarantee while leaving themselves zero influence. Ridiculously bad business decision if that's the case

He could drop back down to 147, but he would likely be a walking corpse ala Oscar-Pac. No need to see that fight since I want to see one mans best against another mans best. If the size disparity is to much, then so be it. Not like Floyd has power to keep men that big, honest. If he dances and boxes then many will likely say he ran. Move on and fight others.

Who the **** does this Canelo think he is,insisting on making the guy come to his weight?
    Andre Ward?

It's a clear duck, and from what all these youngsters are telling me moving away from optimum weights is as natural as Turkey on Thanksgiving these days.

It's absolutely disgusting that this guy is trying to stay at his optimum weight, given that in five years he'll probably be fighting at 168.

You must have just started watching boxing if you need to ask such a silly question.

If his fights under perform money wise as to what they guaranteed him, then no, they will not be making money no matter what.

Floyd's guarantees, puts them in a situation where they have to make numbers and certain benchmarks, if they want to make money on this one sided deal.

If Floyd fights Canelo and other big names, they should be okay, if he opts to continue fighting the Guerrero's and Alexander's of the sport they will be ****ed. :deal:thumbsup

Definitely not. The cable/satellite distributors are said to get around 50% of the total PPV revenue, and that's before they've even paid Floyd his guaranteed $32M per. You've also got his opponents purse and the cost of producing the programming for promotion of the fight among other things to make back.

850K buys at $60 a pop comes out to around $51m. Consider half of it gone, and now pay Floyd his $32 million. Yeah, not good.

wtf does this have to do with canelo only wanting to fight Floyd at 154?

takes a ***** to somehow change the topic of how Floyd is going to have to fight canelo at 154 and not 147 to how canelo will never make as much money as Floyd.

no one here cares about how much money Floyd makes, only how many excuses he makes.

he don't fight canelito at 154 its a duck and confirms he ducked paq as well.
