Is that saying a lot though? I dunno but the thought of having Lopez weight jump so much for paydays and TV dates is a bit unsettling for me health wise, especially when he will be favoured to lose every fight.

Who wins out of Garcia/Lopez in your eyes?

It'd be a tough fight but probably Gomez outboxes Lopez, I'd see that fight as similar to Gomez vs Soto-Karass. But by that same token, while I wouldn't discount Gomez possibly beating Victor Ortiz in another fashion, it would have been unlikely that he'd have broken Ortiz's jaw like Lopez did because he's not a puncher at all.

that fight wont happen Al Haymond:deal

Also the only way I see Lopez going down to 140 is if he loses to Ortiz which I predict will happen if Ortiz gets the right trainer

Aren't they both with GBP though as well?

As far as I know the "Haymon only fighters" aren't pitted against each other.

yeah they are both with GBP. But they are both with Al so no fight. It actually the fight I would most like to see around those weight classes I was going to make a thread "the fight I want to see but will never happen".

If I could get a convo with Al I would not even bring up those two peoples names. And Oscar just does what Richard tells him to.

GBP promoting Haymon fighters will have to start fighting each other soon though, does Haymon have a boxing promoter's license? He mustn't because Floyd uses GBP as his promoter while not being licensed himself.

I wouldn't be surprised to see GBP overrule Haymon one of these days to make fights happen.

Haymond has full control over what his fighters do. He does not have a license on purpose. Way more rules for promoters than mangers. GBP is not going to make Al do anything that he does not want to do. Its also rumored that Al Haymon fighter are not actually signed with GBP just an agreement that they will use their services. Not sure I believe that though.

I'm sure all of Haymon's "business sense" would go out the window if GBP started cutting off their promotional sevices if Haymon won't play ball and make the fights they wanted. Then what would Al do? Keep recycling the same 15 guys in fights?

work with someone else. Its not going to happen though it doesn't make business sense for GBP to start a war with Al. Especially over something like a fight between Lopez and Garcia.

Work with someone else? Like arum? Never going to happen. Floyd would disown Al, jump to 50s company and work with Oscar, guaranteed.
