Yah. Canelo is the Still the Man of GG's division. Canelo beat the Man who Beat the Man who Beat the Man. GG needs to beat the Man to be the Man!

Hopkins unified all belts - lost to Taylor - Taylor lost to Pavlik - Pavlik lost to Martinez - Martinez lost to Cotto and Canelo beat Cotto.

As much as GGG is clearly the best fighter at middle weight that is the time line.

    Lineal champs don't mess around...

They duck mandatory opponents by vacating their alphabet trinket, fight opponents at a lower weight class, and still claim to be the lineal champ.

    Boss!

What, you mean the ODLH belt? Shame it isn't a real belt so he can't curl up into the foetal position while GGG smacks him upside the head with it.

I believe Canelo forfeited that title of lineal champion the very second he vacated that title.

If Canelo was injured and was out for a 6 months or even a year and Golovkin picked up the vacant title and Canelo was still fighting at 160 then I could swallow it.

If Canelo was still WBC 160 champion and went up or down for another title fight or a catchweight and had every intention of fighting his mandatory Golovkin in his next fight again I could suffer it but that's not the case.

But if you drop a title and move divisions then that is a joke to be called the lineal champion.

Alverez is going top spoil Golovkin's soft plans by taking his belts and unifying the 160 division before Golovkin does.
