Bumlovkin is [arguably] the #1 CONTENDER @ MW behind the champion Saul Alvarez.

At what point do they start a new lineage?

This clown is holding this title because Martinez wanted no part of GGG and got busted up by Cotto (who knew better and paid step-aside money to avoid GGG).

I mean he really shouldn't stay lineal champ if he refuses to fight any middleweight contenders (or his mandatory) at the middleweight limit.

    1. Golovkin didn't vacate his championship belts for that fight

    2. He fought at the weight where he holds those championship belts

    3. His opponent weighed in as a middleweight at 159.5

I don't care about your list of nonsensical excuses. Did he just fight a Welterweight?, Yes or No. That said, did you know that 155 and 154.1 are both also officially considered Middleweight?.

Unfortunately the truth is that Canelo is the lineal 'champion'. But a real champion defends his belts, not runs away like a 2 dollar ho getting slapped by her pimp. Monzon and Hagler start tearing up every time they see Canelo and they realise that THIS is what has become of their legacy.

Well apparently the offer to GGG is legit. Loeffler was asked about it and he did not deny it. He said he would also give GBP a call soon. Supposedly that offer has been sitting there for a few weeks also. Lets hope something comes together.

Then I suggest you use a similar attitude when criticizing Alvarez vs Cotto/Khan/Angulo/Lara/Kirkland, because they too, were all Middleweight fights.

GGG did not have to accept any step aside money. Some may say paying a fighter to step aside is a duck but isn't stepping aside also a duck? GGG should of forced that mandatory and maybe then Canelo would not be getting announced as lineal.
