I want to agree with that statement, and on the surface it appears true... but, I had a slightly past prime Golovkin clearly beating him, so... for me, no Canelo is not better. More dynamic? More versatile? Ya Id agree to that. Straight up better? Not to me.
A past prime Golovkin won easily Las Vegas and Adelaide Byrd rescued Canelo...all the Polls done on this Fight on most Boxing Forums are %80 or more in favor of Golovkin Winning.....all the Proof you need in my Opinion.!!!!..
The reason for Canelo having more larger names on his resume is because everyone was ducking GGG. GGG said he'd fight anybody from 154-164, and he proved it by fighting a career middleweight at 164 to test the waters instead of fighting an actual super middleweight. He proved once again he's a man of his word by fighting Mexican style in the Canelo rematch. He was pumping the jab whilst riding his bicycle all night just like he said he would. Everything GGG and his promoters/trainers have been telling boxing fans all these years is true, except of course when Sanchez said GGG lost the second fight against Canelo. That's the only fib you can count against the great Abel "honest 99% of the time" Sanchez.
