Ward made just as much money GGG did fighting Paul Smith on BET as GGG did fighting Lemieux on PPV.:rofl Ward-GGG would be PPV and it would do a hell of alot more than 150K GGG would get a career high payday dummy.

You're right, but it usually takes at least three wrongs to get a big fight made in boxing. No use getting bent out of shape in the negotiating process.

PBF didn't fight Canelo at 154 because he didn't have to he was the shot caller and the A-side. When will you get this through your head that's how it works when you're the cash cow. Canelo is now the shot caller and is dictating the terms, if GGG doesn't like it or doesn't agree there will be no fight and Canelo will move on. GGG needs Canelo more than Canelo needs GGG. If Canelo fought Lemieux on PPV it would have done a hell of alot more than 150K in buys that's for damn sure.:deal Canelo can get 2 million dollar purse fights fighting no hopers on HBO or Showtime without PPV he's the king now.:deal

 

Ward's great at making money for Ward, but the reason networks cooled on him is there was nothing left for them by the end of his minimum purse demands, and they couldn't afford quality opposition because of them. As much as I like razzing Andre sometimes, the underlying cause of his inactivity really is that simple.

The smartest thing Andre could do is take a pay cut to fight 3 times in a year and get his momentum back. With Floyd gone, the position of the face of U.S. boxing is there for the taking.
