Canelo is an Ordinary Fighter

You can make your case against him on the issue of work rate, but Alvarez is not slow. He is fast and explosive. The only issue is how often he chooses to use said speed and explosive power. Alvarez is at minimum a solid fighter and considering what level he is fighting at and his age we can easily see greatness.

His only downfall may be his muscularity. He may be forced up where his speed, power, and explosiveness are nerfed by naturally bigger guys. Let's hope that his work rate will pick up with less attempts to cut weight and more experience managing fights.
