Canelo is one of the few current fighters that I’ll go to back for but you’re ******ed or just a Mayweather hater to think Canelo has a better record or resume, It’s not really his fault these guys he’s fighting aren’t historically great fighters even guys like Chavez or C Hernandez who went on to have good runs and only lost to the BEST of the best are better than Saunders and plant . Like dude Zab Judah was a 7x champ at 140 and the undisputed champion at 147.
Manny was P4P #2 and beat Mathysse,Broner,Thurman among others after they fight and won a Lineal title after. I’ll put Canelo over all these current fighters but these new guys aren’t daring to be great.

40- N’duo and Gatti 68- Smith Saunders Plant
47-Judah,Hatton,Maidana 2x,Pacquiao.Mosley, Baldomir, Marquez compared to 75 Kovalev
54 Oscar,Cotto, Canelo(won h2h) compared to potentially Makabu

Mayweather has overall fought better guys but the thing that makes a resume the guys he fought have beaten better guys… if bertibev and bivol fight and Canelo gets that scalp and Benavidez and Charlo fight and Canelo gets that scalp with GGG fighting Andrade.. those would be LEGIT big wins because the winner would have proven himself to at least be worthy in that division which is what makes a high quality fight.. the fighter makes the belt. You have to be a CHAMPION and the guys in Canelos era sadly aren’t that!
