What?? Being the Lineal Champ of a Division is a “waste of time”?? Really, since WHEN??

Being the Lineal Champ is What Makes you the Man of a Division ! We all know Martinez was injured and Cotto beat him largely because of that, but for someone like GG who cares so much about unifying the division, he should NEED to be the Lineal Champ.

When Stevenson KO’d Bad Chad Dawson, Max Kellerman was like “you are now the Lineal Light Heavyweight Champ” and Stevenson was like “Oh My GAWD I DID IT, I’M THE MAN NOW” and he was basically crying tears of Joy. And now you’re saying being Lineal Champ is a “waste of time”??

It was never “passed around” by welterweights, you’re just exaggerating and making stuff up to sound ridiculous. Cotto won the Title as a MW, and lost the title as a Jr MW. It was never passed around or even fought for by a welterweight. (Khan weighed in as a MW)

 

Canelo should be renamed Speedy Gonzalez. The way he ran away from Golovkin reminded me of that little mouse with the sombrero.

LOL Speedy Gonzalez was one of my heroes growing up !! He was so cool. It is an honor for Canelo to be called Speedy Gonzalez. He is that fast in the ring isn’t he .

But running “away” from GG? Then why is his team reaching out to GG? We’ll see who’s running away from who if Bumlovkin thinks Canelo “has nothing he wants” or “has nothing he needs” and decides to fight another Tomato Can in Bumlovkinland instead of the Lineal Middleweight Champ !!

Khan didn’t even win the title, so even if you consider him a welterweight he never won it so he never had it passed to him. Cotto has been a Jr MW for a long freakin time.

So let me get this straight, Cotto and Khan are welters, but Canelo he’s a Middleweight though? Really?

Cotto has been fighting at Jr MW (154) since 2010 !! He took the 154 title off of Yuri Foreman. That was over 6 years ago. He hasn’t fought at WW since 2009 when Manny Pacquiao drained him to a corpse at WW!

But he’s still a welterweight? But Canelo who’s never weighed within 5 lbs of the MW limit, is a MW?

Cotto and Canelo are both JMWs. They can fight at MW, but JMW is their best natural weight.

This is the whole basis as to why Canelo is getting all this criticism for dropping the belt, while Cotto gets a pass. After all Cotto is just a little WW (even though he hasn’t fought at WW in 7 freakin years) but Canelo he’s a HUGE MW.

Pick a lane for real, man. Be consistent. Khan has been fighting at WW, but on the Night he was a MW. (155) Not only that, but he’s naturally bigger than Cotto, so in a way Khan has the dimensions more comparable to actual MWs. He’s also younger than Cotto, and as we know when you’re young you can cut weight easier. So yeah Khan can probably drain himself back down to welter and can probably do it safely, where Cotto can’t. But as he gets older it will get harder and harder for Khan to make welter. Khan throughout the entire buildup to Canelo kept saying how much stronger he felt than before when he was trying to make 147. Really both are probably at their best fighting at Jr MW, like Canelo.

In the ring Khan matched up well size wise to Canelo. Cotto obviously was a bit smaller than Canelo but it wasn’t like that big of a size difference.

 

Lol dumb post yea those we're close fights but Canelo Cleary won that's what happens when you fight top elite fighters in their prime, Something you can't say about GG since he flights bum after bum.

Canelo Lost to both Lara & Trout? Really? Then why does it say W next to Canelo’s name under Results for those fights? By that logic Floyd lost to Canelo, since it was only Leonard Ellerbe and TMT’s $$ that got Floyd the decision then? Why don’t you try coming down to earth.

We all know that Canelo beat Lara and Trout clearly and Canelo vs Floyd was a draw. CJ had it right, those two other judges must have been paid off by TMT to give Floyd that decision. Who’s gonna get a decision over Floyd in Vegas? Maidana could get a decision on Floyd and he fought Floyd tooth and nail in the first fight. When Canelo beat Lara and Trout, he wasn’t the established Vegas hometown fighter that Floyd was so you can’t even really make that argument.

If you really think Canelo lost to Lara and Trout then you really have no appreciation for the sweet science or quality punching, and you probably belong in that Floyd #1 All-Time P4P Joke of a Thread!
