when he was on the rise and many thought he would avoid josesito after what he did to Ortiz....he fought him....when he was supposed to fight cotto but trout got in the way, many said he wouldn't fight him....it happened...
at an early age many said he would fight bums for atleast 8 years...he offered both Kirkland and Williams a fight....
after losing to the best, many thought he would take it easy for a few years....comes back to fight perro, and lara within 4 months of each other....

so far, canelo has proved that boxing fans are the biggest most spoiled haters on earth.....sad, but true......sad to see team sports have so many loyal fans when they make so much more money, have teammates to help them achieve their goals, get huge breaks after the season is over...get to drink Gatorade during games etc etc.......yet boxers get so much trash talked on by their very own so called fans........

canelo is hated because floyd beat him...and easily....plain and simple....so many with their agenda have to discredit him because floyd can do nothing right

Boxing needs a Mexican hype job who's been pushed and protected by GBP as they groomed his brand as a pretty boy warrior?
Lara is going to give that boy his 3rd ass beating

remains to be seen. He'll probably need to move up in weight.
as of right now his resume is trash.
so far his best fights have been:
fought a washed up mosley after manny and floyd beat his brains out.
went to war with austin trout...who might not be as good as we initially thought.
and got his ar$e whupped for 12 rounds by a smaller Floyd who is ten years older than him :patsch
the Lara fight is good but we have to see if Canelo get's his ar$e beat again or not.

I'm not sure how many actually thought this. Anyway, Canelo is a good young fighter and he's fighting top guys. There hasn't been much to complain about the kid the last couple of years.

still....given his age....even if he were to lose to lara....and kept fighting on...im sure his resume will have some good pretty good names on it going forward.....

aside from gauging his name on floyds resume....taking that out of the equation...im sure at the end of the day canelo will be seen as a pretty good fighter who took on a good resume....which would mean he was good for the sport

at the moment, he's still unproven...overhyped by messicans who desperately are looking for a star and by fhomos who are desperately trying to hype up floyd's manhood.

At 23 it's rare for a boxer to have guys as good as that on his resume. He's only 23 and not even close to his peak yet.

My thoughts exactly . . . I do not understand hate on these young fighters coming up! they are all trying to find their way in the sport. We are so quick to say someone is a hype job and belittle them before they even get a chance. I wish if a fighter showed promise that we would all sit back and watch as they progress. Fighters at the top, like floyd, pac, bhop, ward and wlad are fair game but we need to stop trying to destroy the young up and comers because they are the future.

he was "champion" at 19 though. and has over 40 pro fights. I don't care how young he is, he didn't have to grow into his body as he primarily fought smaller opponents. he is experienced enough to be held accountable. him doing all this by age 23 just means he'll likely be brain damaged by the time he's floyd age :-(
