yeah, those cardons look closer to saguaros. the ones they eat around here are the ones with the beavertail leaves and bright blooming, rose like flowers on their fruit.

 

I'm actually more familiar with the prickly pear type cactus. But there's a white fungus that seems to kill them off here. The cardon is impressive. In spring it sounds like it's alive from all the bees on it. Pretty sure somebody brought it over from South America or something, I haven't seen many like this around if at all.

 

One of the hungriest fighters was Gabe Brown but it hasn't help him at all in the ring.
Growing up rough doesn't make you mentally though automatically. It's more how you have learned to deal with difficulties or overcome them.
That being said for Golovkin Canelo it's different anyway.
Canelo is the guy who is the big PPV star since years who fights in Vegas since 2010 has houses and a car collection and has made a lot of money. Golovkin on the other side hasn't been in the mainstream spotlight of boxing for a long time. This is now his big chance at age 35 to get there to be the face of boxing to make the big money fights in the next years after all the difficulties he overcame like the loss of his brothers, the difficulties with his former promoter in germany, the stuck of his career from 2007 to 2010, all the fighter which ducked him in the past. Now finally the big fight is there for him.
I can tell you canela is f***ed

One of my RL friends just asked me "Who the F is Canelo?" He's the same guy that is excited by Mayweather / Conor and picked Conor to win
