Full of poverty, crime, racketeering, bribes, complete lack of government presence and authority. Robberies, murders, drugs and alcoholism were rampant. Organized crime was like the flu outbreak. Salary delays were common, a lot of people became homeless. Not to mention the regular absence of hot water, imagine that how it was in the extremely cold winters. Imagine living like this you idiot.
