Marco Antonio Barrera was son of lawyers and in the law school himself, no one doubted his heart.
Ali was middle class, no one doubted his heart.

The idea that the average broke ass white guy is part of the system is ridiculous. The dude could be pouring coffee or sweeping floors, but that guy is "the man" and gets all these institutionalized benefits. Dude is pouring coffee for Christ's sake. He's not the system.

Yes, at the upper echelon of society you will see some old rich white guys who control most everything.

But these broke white guys are just guys.

when i was a kid, and there was beef between guys, it was just a matter of time before they squared off, and everybody knew it was coming. nobody jumped in back then, nobody was gonna call the cops, nobody was getting put in the hospital, and the loser took his lumps like a man. so if you couldnt fight, you didnt go around pretending you were tough... cause someones calling you out. i know guys who became great friends after particularly good scraps, cause being tough meant something else.
late 80s, that started to change. guys started bailing themselves out with a weapon, or their friends would bail em out. by the 90s, the toughest guys were doing their fighting from a moving vehicle.
that glass jawed meth head with the teardrop tatoos that throws his weight around cause hes packing, would have already gotten dealt with by a high school freshman in the 70s.
in some cultures, its still common for guys to settle differences with a fair fight without all the excess drama, so everyone knows who the tough guys really are.
today, in america, the only place for non criminals to prove how tough they are, is in a ring or a cage.

Alis father was a sign painter and his mother a domestic servant, they weren't dirt poor but they were far from middle class. I agree with the sentiment though.

Well you can look at it that way or you could look at it another way..

Canelo HAD TO FIGHT to escape poverty or a very poor quality of life in a country where boxing is a huge sport and he has done very well for himself, he has had to fight from a young age, it's all he knows but did he have a choice? Is it his real nature?

Golovkin didn't have to fight but HE CHOSE TO, he obviously loves to fight, it's his real nature, it's in his DNA.

So I see it opposite to you, Golovkin is the natural fighter and Canelo had no choice, Canelo might fold if the going gets really tough, he mentally broke down against Mayweather, he wasn't mentally strong enough and as far as I'm concerned Canelo mentally folded.

We haven't seen Golovkin mentally fold or beaten, we've seen poor performances but all fighters have those but he has so far found a way, he is a winner.

So I have no doubt in my mind, I'll take the real fighter, the fighter that wants to fight, the fighter that won't break down under pressure.

I love your enthusiasm nothing wrong in that but I disagree, just as I disagreed with that comment about Canelo having gangsta in him,has no relevance whatsoever though I will say I prefer your reasoning to the gangsta thing.
