Mayweather might grow old over night, you never know when it hits you and when it happens, its game over. Especially when you are fighting a 22 year old beast(he is very very good IMO)

 

mosley is a bad analogy because floyd went on to dominate that fight after mosleys punch landed.

like i said, canelo has that punchers chance. it happened to jones jr and it could happen to floyd. you would have to be an idiot not to think that it cant happen.

but to base a bet on this occuring, that "punchers chance," "might catch floyd off balance," and the proverbial "getting old overnight" is not very wise. floyd had a bad night against cotto. and i am not basing anything on the guerrero fight other than floyds output remained relatively the same. i am basing my bet on the fact that canelo gasses, has overatted punching ability and does not have the punch output nor the footwork to be succesful against floyd.

unless canelo lands something early, after the sixth round, it will be obvious that weight and size has absolutely nothing to do with the outcome of this fight.

 

floyd has yet to show any of the characteristics of a fighter getting old overnight.

a fighter getting old overnight is a guy that is taking more punches than normal, getting knocked down/kod or his output drops.

jmm, paq, bradley, dawson, price, lopez, abraham...these are candidates for fighters that get old overnight.

 

You misunderstood me.We know Floyd was able to make adjustements against both Judah and Mosley, adjustements that won him the fight.What I was trying to say is mayweather like all fighters has his vulnerabilities although mayweathers masks them very well. You have to get Floyd to open up but that will come at an expense.
