Quincy just said Floyd had a bad night against cotto.Nah its just cottos better than some people predict, but at the end of the day, styles make fights which is why I keep thinking that the guy to beat Floyd is out there and I think it will be someone we are least expecting.

again, you are trying to time floyds demise. i still remember when freddie said that hopkins should retire because he didnt look good against joe(even walked back to the wrong corner).

guys have a bad night. floyds defense against cotto was still at 21 percent his normal rate. it was just his accuracy dropped at 26 precent for which is normally 40+ percent.

sure, floyd could get old on 9/14.

but he has yet to shown any signs of that happening and appeared with his same statistics against rg.

canelo is just not the type of fighter to make floyd look old overnight because he just does not have the output(700 plus punches) nor the footwork(to close the distance).

my guess is that floyd lands 40+ percent of his shots and canelo lands 20 percent.

what you are saying is true but it is often the guy that said fighter is overlooking.

    floyd is not overlooking canelo.

actually, it is quite the opposite.

Margarito had cheen though. I don't blame cotto for getting discouraged after tagging him time after time and this dude not flinching. That Margo was like that dude in terminator.

I agree, Floyd will do better than he did against Cotto. Alvarez is not Cotto, should be a good fight for the first 4 round though!:rofl:nut

Why do ya'll class the Ortiz debacle as a win for Mayweather??. OK Ortiz id headbutt Floyd, crazy move. The referee rightly warned Ortiz & that should have been that. But then Floyd's street punk kicked in & he cowardly cold ****ed Ortiz. OK I know it was officially legal but only a cowardly punk would act that way. Then punk has the gall to call it a KO win.
Its a shame Ortiz lost his cool but the way vegas officials let Floyd get away with so much **** it's quite understandable.. That fight had started to look interesting

Always an excuse for why Floyd cherry picks his opponents isn't there ROFLMAO Now put the truth why Floyd wasn't interested in those 3 you mentioned. Floyd knew every one was capable of kicking his ass so he avoided them End of story:patsch

Alvarez is gonna have to find a way to put leather on Floyd or he's dropping a wide decision...

Did you know Cotto only landed 30 jabs? He didn't land any over the final 2 rounds. Cotto's jab is very stiff and he times it well. Cotto was able to land some good, stiff jabs on Mayweather. Overall though, he didn't land many jabs.

He might've not land many but when he threw it ,more often than not , it landed and its rare to see Floyd get hit by the same punch twice.

at the end of the day cotto stil only landed 21 percent and 105 punches, normal defense stats for floyd.

take a look at the demise of jones jr. who is a good comparason to mayweather as they both rely heavily on speed, reflexes, timing and defense.

in both his fights agaisnt kelly and woods he was on pace to throw over 600 punches and landed at over a 50 percent rate before his ko wins.

in his next fight againt ruiz(albeit at heavyweight) he threw just 424 and landed at 32 percent.

followed by tarver at 420 and at 26 percent.

so both his workrate and connect percentage had declined in signifigant numbers in consecutive fights.

floyds one single declining stat(two fights ago) that suggest that he might be getting old is the fact that his connect percentage went down in one single fight even though his work rate increased(687 punches thrown whereas he normally throws around 475).

if youre looking for floyd to get old on 9/14 there is nothing tangible to prove this to be the case.

Cotto is the wrong guy to fight after coming off a long layoff and afterwards it reminded mayweather that he needs to go back to his roots. Floyd will be sharper than ever this fight and looking to make a statement.

He will come after Floyd early, less weigh=less power, throw power shots to the block, keep pressing and slowly be made to look silly:lol:

Floyd gonna be too slick, too fast, and he about to beat the brakes off canelos a**. I'm here to warn ya that after the beating floyd gives canelo he will move to hollywood california......Mexicans will disown him after this fight, hell, most are going for floyd anyway.
