:patsch Floyd huggers said Floyd "beat the brakes off of Ortiz" "gave him an ass whoopin" that is delusional.

Ortiz was getting outlanded about 25 to zero by round three. Most of those were clean straights on the button. Ortiz was so frustrated he tried to maul Mayweather in rd 4. Ortiz still couldn't land anything except a headbutt.

Ortiz succeeded in making it an ugly fight, was still ineffective.

well it wasnt as bad as 25-0 but close as floyd outlanded ortiz 22-4 in round three and 27-9 in round four.

to most people that dont have a pink **** stuck in their mouth thats pretty much as close to "beat the brakes off ortiz," or "gave him an ass-whooping" as one can get.

Pac can't even beat a 39 year old featherweight who couldn't manage to win a single round against Floyd...

    so whats your point?

Mayweather almost got KTFO against Mosley and Pac won without even trying against Mosely! Mayweather had problems against a over the hill Cotto who got the beating of his life against Pac! Pac KO'd Hatton at Hattons best weight in 2 rounds! it took Mayweather 10 rounds and that was in Floyds weight class!

No one gives Floyd a tougher fight than Pacman!

Floyd fought Shane when he had a TITLE.

What did he have when Pac fought him???........NOTHING.

Manny waited till Shane lost his title and looked bad against Mora to get brave enough to fight Mosley:deal

When Shane destroyed Margarito he went to Manny's gym AND CALLED HIM OUT...Freddy wobbled over and laid this famous egg:

    "Shane..can you make 142?"

A short fighter that falls-in with his hands down will never beat Mayweather.

If Arum believed for one second Manny could beat Floyd he'd move heaven and earth to make the fight....instead of making weird excuses like needing more time to build a stadium.

If Canelo is bang on the weight I am going to fancy Mayweather here. But If Canelo pays the huge $$$ for the extra few pounds I'm going to give him a chance. That is of course assuming its not to the point that Mayweather pulls out of the fight!

The margin in round three of FMJ-Ortiz seems just about right. Floyd landed the right almost at will in that stanza and Ortiz landed very little of consequence in return. One of Floyd's better rounds in recent years.

Round four seemed closer in terms of margin of connects, because Ortiz had a couple of moments of success in that round. Still, I would have given the round to Floyd anyway, based on the fact that he still landed his share and shook Victor pretty badly in the beginning of the round.

Floyd was definitely in control of the fight at that point, and I think might well have scored a stoppage based on the way Ortiz was reacting to the punches. Say what you will about Guerrero...there were a couple of rounds where he was dominated, but he never appeared to be shaken in the same manner that Ortiz was that night.

As for Floyd-Canelo...I think Canelo will likely have moments of success. Ortiz had a couple of good moments against Floyd, and Guerrero did enough to win a couple of rounds on my card. Canelo's got more going for him than these two. He's a more skilled fighter than Ortiz, and he's stronger and bigger than the Ghost. But unless Floyd's legs turn to lead, and his ability to take a shot completely disappears, Floyd should weather those moments and win the fight pretty clearly on most people's cards (even a couple of the judges. :D)

Quincy K with the bullsh^t. Thats STILL not "beating the brakes off" or "given him dat azz whoopin"....the term OUTLANDING him is more appropriate.
