Am I the only one who thinks there's something off about this bout?

former WW/LMW canello will be smashed whatever happens, he must run to LHW to face an elite, or GGG will smash him at MW.

    Canelo Smashing is inevitable.

I remember when certain people were saying he was a small guy for middleweight lol Huge ris Canelo taking this fight, if there are no weight clauses

Boosted by what? Kovalev is way past his prime. I dont see how a victory over him for Canelo will boost his resume.
Canelo is great skilled fighter, but he is always trying to gain advantage in any situation. With GGG he waited to get old, he still lost 2 times, but was gifted with a win and a draw, with Jacobs he put some ridiculous clause, and now fighting a way past prime Kovalev.
As much as i like and admit the skills of Canelo and Ward, this is what i also hate in boxing and what is wrong in boxing.
Boxers that are waiting for other boxer to get old and past their prime or make stupid clause and of course shady judges decision at the end.
Both GGG and Kovalev did not deserve the L they had in their resume.

I'd favour Canelo aginst a clearly on the decline kovalev. However against the other 3 LHW champions Canelo would lose.

watch WW/LMW Canelo run in fear to LHW in order to fight a 43 year old kovalev so he can avoid 37 year old MW GGG!

Kovalev looks done, his power looked diminished against Yarde and he looked slow, old and tired.

I'm not slaughtering the proven drug cheat that is Canelo, he is just being extremely opportunistic wanting to fight Kovalev at this stage.

I'd be impressed if he wanted to fight Beterbiev or Bivol, A fighter with ambition and not looking for a pension padding fight like Kovalev is.

That's no disrespect to Kovalev, he has earned a big payday, a cash out, without doubt he has but Canelo is now carefully cherry picking fights.

He could fight Smith, Saunders, Beterbiev, Bivol, or maybe even Golovkin again, even though GGG is at the end of his career.

Not really , anybody can move up to whatever weight they want for a particular fight.

    Roy wasn't a HW. Cotto wasn't a MW. Eubank wan't a CW. Duran wasn't a MW. Khan wasn't a MW. Mikey wasn't a WW.. etc etc

Trying to win Kovalev's belt doesn't make him fully fledged light heavy. Leonard wasn't a LHW when he beat Donny.

He aint too small because there will be a huge rehydration clause, to 180 or something, this is what Canelo weighs in on on fight day at 160
