I just rewatched GGG vs Monroe. 1080p sound off. Every ounce of Monroe's body language and style showed his fear and respect for GGG's power. Canelo's reluctance to find his Mexican Pride is only helping GGG mentally break fighters before they even step in the ring with him. I think if Canelo does not accept a GGG fight at his in ring post-Khan fight interview then the mind games battle is done and dusted. He is already 0 - 4 in mind game rounds.
Canelo is playing a crafty game. By ducking GGG, all he is doing is further reducing GGG's chances of "improving his resume". Which he uses as a justification not to fight him.
GGG need to stop waiting on one fight and move the hell on already. Both these men are playing off of each other as an excuse to not step it up. Canelo can afford to do so, because he have quality opponents on his resume, and he has youth on his side to get even more. GGG on the other hand does not. He's using Canelo not fighting him, as an excuse to why he won't leave MW to fight bigger opponents that will only improve his resume by beating quality opponents in that weight class. Unfortunately form him continuing to stay on the road that he's on is only going to hurt his career not improve it.
His "excuses" maybe, but remember, both he and Golovkin came to a mutual agreement for a voluntary defense.
