Canelo is knocking on p4p top 10 status IMO.

When and if he start facing real competition and win, then and only then he should be considered, beating an old man in Mosley, a past prime Cintron (his best weight was 147), a JWW in Gomez, another JWW and grandpa Ndou and a euro trash Rhodes doesn't make him P4P, he is not even the best in his own weight division (a least he hasn't prove it) step up and fight the best and lets c what happens, but you know what they doing, semi finals all over the 154 lbs division, he didn't have to fight semis, oh I remember now, the Belt was a gift from his "daddy" Sulaiman, common guys we all knew he will outclass Mosley, the kid has potential he needs to start fulfilling that, don't give me the 20 years old crap he is a "Champ", just like Patterson was back in the 50's and Tyson in the 80's, they were 20 years old Champions and fought the best...

Awful analysis, who has he beaten? Cintron - shot, Mosley - shot, he has beaten nobody to justify himself as a top p4p fighter.

If he beats kirkland next the same way he did mosley, which I suspect he will, then I would out him at #10.

I love watching him fight, the combos, the power, the chin. It's beautiful.

So mayweather and pacman can use him to boost up the legacy but Canelo can't?

Yo Canelo showed me something last night, He earned some respect from me shot or not I expected more from Mosley and he just shut em down. Impressive for a guy 21 yrs old. Interested in seeing him grow.

Beating live bodies doesn't qualify one for a p4p list. Yes, Mosley was game last night but he's 40 years. Now, if he puts together a couple of good wins against top 10ers then he'll deserve a spot.

This Journeyman almost crash the party, I wonder if he is not going to feel a punch from a real JMW, not an old man pulling his punches like Mosley, let me c, I'll favor him over Kirkland but if he gets caught or can't take him out early it could be very interesting, Vanes has good boxing and decent power, i think he box his ears off, Lara will snipe his a$$, too much experience, technique and all around talent, K9 will get starched, Spinks too if he can catch him, Molina will make an ugly fight but will lose a dec., Delvin Rodriguez will be a barn burner, who else is out there?

Beating a 40 year old Mosley does **** all. Paulie Malignaggi would beat Mosley, as would any decent welterweight. Mosley has been absolute muck since he beat Margarito.

Canelo needs to beat a Cotto/Kirland/Molina/Williams/Lara before we can even consider him to be top 15 p4p. He's not accomplished that much. His wins against Vazquez are overlooked by most though, solid wins for him.

Garfios, and you wonder why I call you out. Look at you hating on this damn kid. He looked so good against an experienced mosley and won every round. I think round one maybe you can give it to mosley.
But again, the kid is Mexican and look at you linking YouTube videos of the one and only time he was slightly shaken...for 1second in his entire career. His debut in Vegas at that.

You ****ing bug. Canelo look solid and you know it.

Op never claimed that he cracked the top ten, reading comprehension smart guy. "Knocking on the door" means he's getting close. Beating a kirkland or molina next might put him their depending on who's p4p list it is.

Oh, and its not about beating an old mosley, its how he beat him. A clean sweep in the cards and remaining calm after a nasty headbutt sliced open his upper left eye lid.

to be honest, i saw more out of mosley than i thought i was going too. and kirkland and molina still arent an argument for a top 10
