Absolutely shameful. Been feasting on blown up jr. welters for most of his career and he hasn't looked great against his best opponents. His best win is probably Trout because he didn't look all that good vs. Lara. But, dumping the belt is not only bad for his career, it's terrible for boxing overall. Canelo is just surrounded by too many yes-men who pander to his every whim. He is a spoiled brat who is essentially pulling a Victor Ortiz (I can't be getting beat up like this).
Its terrible for boxing because it shows all whats wrong in boxing. And that Oscar is supporting these kind of shenanigans. Oscar the man of the people. Terrible indeed.
I mean, I'm not shocked, because nothing really surprises me anymore, but...what is Canelo's play now? Get Broner in the ring? Fight one of the Charlo brothers?
