Great fight but you have to factor in Canelo will be moving up in weight and his facing a guy who has better timing than him, better control of distance and hits a mile harder than anyone his ever faced.

Id take GGG by 116-112 ish decision or 10th to 12th round ko

Canelo beat Angulo. Big fukkin deal.

    Doug Fischer:

The producer and the gym rat didn’t want to go on record for fear of being banned from Wild Card, which is understandable (I guess), but Garcia, who watched Golovkin and Angulo spar in Big Bear, has no problem sharing his observations with his fellow boxing fans.

“Alfredo Angulo is a very strong, very competitive, prideful guy who has a great team behind him, but Golovkin is on another level,” said Garcia, who says he watched three sparring sessions between the two over the course of one week. “His strength, his demeanor, his skill, everything he did in there was just too much for Angulo, which surprised the hell out of me.

“I’ve seen Angulo spar many times before and he‘s always the one doing the hurting. He’s so damn tough I’ve never seen him take a step back, let alone get hurt. I was expecting him to test this Golovkin guy that I’d never seen before, but ‘Superman’ was in there taking and giving, and he hurt Angulo a couple times, especially to the body. Angulo had to get on his bike against Golovkin, which was just bizarre to see.”

Nah, I don't see GGG having problems with him at all. If GGG fights Chavez that will be a much harder fight for him.

only guys like Ward and Froch would get 100 % from GGG.

GGG is cruising his way to that WBC title, assuming Martinez retains it against Cotto.

The skill of Canelo was obvious to those who watched the Mayweather fight and Canelo seems to me to be still improving. His stamina definitely looked much better in his last fight. I do think however as I said before the fight that angulo was made to order for Canelo. A slower fighter who comes straight forward is always going to get mopped up by canelo.

...but he won't fight Lara. And he could. Golovkin couldn't. And Golovkin has never turned down a fight, he just doesn't have the big bucks and the big promotional machine that Canelo has.

I really wonder w/Martinez he's showing a lot of signs of being on the way out boxing career wise - down in his last 3 fights, almost 40, another knee surgery which his fighting style really cant afford to have. Wouldn't be surprised if Martinez loses by ko quite honestly.

Probably. Besides Cotto there's no other big payday for Martinez cuz PBF and Canelo are GBP/SHO fighters.

But if Martinez keeps his title I think HBO would put enough $ for a fight between him and GGG.

Also if GGG fights Chavez Jr in July and beats him a PPV fight between Martinez and GGG would draw even more numbers.
