I don’t know. I think they should fight each other too. I’m just pointing out the flawed logic people are trying to use as to why people make a big deal of his 168 run. There was the same exact positioning at 160 but nobody ever said that the 168 guys needed to fight each other first.

It’s weird because people make a big deal about taking all the belts at 168 vs undefeated champions. I’m just saying that the same exact scenario was at 160. A much more historical division.

I agree, they should fight each other. Just strange that people want to completely ignore that he could have done the exact same thing at 160.

He fought #1 and #2 MW thus conquering the Middleweight division.

He then went on to make Mexican boxing history and SMW his.

What he did at 160 and above > fighting Charlo and Andrade

It is strange he's suddenly interested in becoming undisputed since moving up to a graveyard division when he could've done so at 154, 160, and 175. He dropped that WBO LHW strap like it was molten lead after cherrypicking Kovalev's shot ghost when he could've easily hung around to face both Beterbiev and Bivol who were flying high, active and on their best form. Beterbiev will likely be 38 by the time Clen even contemplates going anywhere near him now and Bivol, who was dazzling against a higher level of opposition prior to the 19 months of inactivity, has looked poor by his lofty standards against a lower level of opposition since coming back.

That being said, whilst there is a solid argument for Clen ducking Boo Boo, this narrative, and it's one the LDBC have been pushing relentlessly, that he's scared of and is ducking Jermallo is comical. Just like their narrative that Loma is terrified of Haney is. Clen would get arrested for legal homicide if he fought Jermallo and Bivol is a far superior and more risky opponent than him.

He had already won the lineal middleweight title-controversial as it was.
    Those guys were paper champs.

    Forget about Canelo .
What are your favorite fighters doing?
    Who are they fighting?
Cause they sure as hell ain’t fighting each other.

they need to forget about Nelo & make their own path , build their own legacy.

It's not difficult to understand why Charlo and Andrade didn't fight each other. A loss would most definitely mean no big money fight with Canelo.

Ima big fan of Charlo and Benavidez while not so much Andrade.. Each guy had ample amount of opportunities to make themselves a highly requested opponent had they simply stepped their recent competition level up..

After fighting Derevyanchenko, Charlo should have fought Andrade, Benavidez or someone of that caliber. Or how about beating Montiel via devastating KO to build excitement instead of a decision.

Benavidez should have took his career more serious and not avoid Caleb Plant early on and lose his belt twice via cocaine and the scales. Suddenly when Canelo comes to 168 with undisputed intentions, Benavidez then wants to fight Plant.

Andrade just been making one bad decision after the other his whole career. It still amazes me that there is not even just one beltholder or ex beltholder on his resume. No one’s fault but his.

My guess is that Charlo's idea of a Canelo payday was larger than Caleb Plant's.

And for what it's worth he does look better at 168. It's becoming clear that at a certain skill level and age that draining yourself to the smallest weight class you can is counterproductive. I don't think a Manny who never goes above 130 shows the same late career abilities.

Point being, money talks. If your options are risk a loss and a career high payday or take a wait and see approach, I would take the wait and see approach. Not good for the sport or fans, but from the fighters perspective, I understand.

Clenboy is a drug cheat and was a weight bully at 154 and 160. 168 is his true weight class since starting with Roids, PEDs and that other dirty stuff.
