let's say Canelo fought GGG 2yrs ago and lose.what it would have done to Canelo stock??what if Canelo had won..missed the x5 bigger payday come next september.and also GGG was less known 2yrs ago. So Canelo would have not get the same credit from boxing casuals(who pay the bills)

And 2important thing.Canelo would have missed all the paydays on JMW class!!Canelo was only smart fighting Lara,Khan,Kirkland of the worlds then..

if Canelo would have won GGG 160 pounds 2yrs ago.who the **** Canelo would have fought at 160??and have a payday??

Everyone does it. Formula1 drivers want to max their income.Lebron James has max contract.so does Sidney Crosby.so does Novak Djokovic.Christiano Ronaldo.you want to do it.investors want to do it.past boxers have done it.fight often and tough opponents.because that was the way to make money. Undisputed GOAT Robinson fought for money.

And if you can make millions by fighting 1-3 times a year.why you would be so dumb and make that same fighting every month.or probably little more?but still.it's not even a question.

you want fights more often and against world class opponents.boxing should be then league or something. But hey good luck to saying fighters.you will earn maybe same as before,but you have to fight against Canelo or GG twice a year.and between those fights 3-4 top10 opponents in 6months.

Why Lebron doesn't take the league minimum if he wants to win and be the Goat.Usain Bolt used to run often whrn younger.now making more money and less run.still increasing his legacy.and so have done so many others in sports.and boxing,still being in HOF and being ATG's.

GOAT Robinson was prizefighter.and fight for the money. There was no televisions also way back then.you had to see it.when tv came along the boxers had easier way to make money.then the number of fights per boxer also started to drop.
