The dudes fear might even get himself beat by a weight drained Chavez Golovkin will now have the chance to fight Saunders after Jacobs and collect all the belts

He's not a middleweight, but now that he's once again a title holder at 154, he apparantly has made a decision to move up to Middleweight fully in 2017 to make the Golovkin fight. As it seems, he's looking for the biggest names out there and Chavez Jr is certainly a huge name.

I agree that Canelo fighting next at Super Middleweight may seem ridiculous, I think I'd rather see him fight BJS, but I don't know what you're complaining about. If he intends on campaigning at MW for now on, then there should be absolutely no reason why the Golovkin fight should not happen in September. I'm not going to speculate until we hear any official announcement, but it seems clear that whether it's BJS at 160 or Chavez at a SMW catchweight, either should put him in a position to fight Golovkin in September.

I kind of don't know if the Chavez fight makes sense for him. I can already hear the excuses of Chavez Jr being drained, or Chavez not making the weight, and somehow Canelo getting blamed for it. Personally I think he should rematch Liam Smith in the U.K. at 154, then move up to 160 and fight Golovkin in September, but what do I know.

    How is this news?

Canelo runs as much out of the ring as Floyd did in it.

Canelita needs the money; he lost a 8.5 million judgement to his former manager.

Once Gennady mops the floor with him, who's gonna pay to see him anymore?

I don't think Canelo is hiding from anyone. After the formation of PBC, Goldenboy lost a lot of their stable to AL Haymon, so Oscar has been essentially babying Alvarez for the last year plus just so he can milk his cashcow. His stable getting depleted in the manner that it did has probably caused De La Hoya to be a lot more judicial with who he puts in the ring with Cinnamon.

Ever since he took on Trout (who is a dangerous fighter in his own right,) Canelo has taken on some of the best competition in the sport including Lara and Mayweather Jr. I personally don't think he's afraid to fight Gennady or anyone for that matter. I think canelo has proved his worth up until this point in his career and hopefully GBP will find a way to gain some confidence in their guy this year and hopefully match him up with Golovkin in the fall.

I could take too everybody if i knew beforehand i could coast in the ring and still get the judges to score in my favor.

He was awfull in both these fights.

    And boring.

If anything, these proved how limited Canelita really is when he steps up to elite competition.

Well said. Boxing is a business and at the moment it would be bad investment to match Canelo vs Gennady until at least
    2018.

You're aware ODLH sent Ggg an 8 figure contract right?

The money is on the table, Canelo nor GBP have given anyone any reason that they aren't confident in Canelo.

All GGg needs to do is sign.

Golden Boy and Canelo have been in damage control since Canelo binned his belt and ran away from GGG.

Golden Boy are doing their utmost to make that torrent of bad publicity go away by feeding the press updates on their low ball offers to GGG, knowing he won't sign until he gets a fair and equitable portion of the millions a GGG vs Canelo fight will make.

Golovkin doesn't need Canelo . GGG has the belt that Canyello gave up so he didn't have to face GGG .

GGG has enough money to live out the rest of his life in comfort . The Jacobs fight just add a few more million to the pile . Then if he decides to continue he may go for Saunders belt .

I can see GGG retiring this year after 2 more fights . Nothing more to achieve and risk to his health post-boxing .
