Very possible. Ggg will retire a nobody and can only blame himself.

You're dumb. At the present moment he is a force to be reckoned with, and for the hardcore fans, Ggg is an intersting figure simply because he seems to be the goods but he is totally untested at the elite level.

However, in the context of leaving a mark in the sport, there is nothing of value he has to offer.

Elite fighters like who? Guys 2 divisions above him? Or the guy that dropped the belt after Golovkin was his mandatory? In fact is Canelo even elite???

I agree, GGG is held with a high standard. If he retires now, it will be a wasted potential.

That's too bad for Ggg. Never had the perfect scenario.

If he beats Jacobs and Canelo this year then the guy deserves credit

Yet, Gennady is 8 to 1 to beat Jacobs, and 4 to 1 to beat Canelo.

How could both fights possibly elevate him to super stardom?

The bottom truth is Gennady has no one to challenge him. Therefore, his greatness will be measured to how many KO's and title defenses he achieves.

This is why the talk of him vacating is utter nonsense.

i think the offer to GGG is more then fair if they dont want to take it i wont call it anything close to a duck if canelo takes on chavez Jr who is going to simply pull in bigger numbers for less risk
