if cotto can survive the 1st 4 to 5 rounds, then canelo will be in trouble. imo cotto is the better boxer with better defense and cotto should win this fight!

I don't think he is that much smaller. I thought so at first to but after seeing them face off in the press conference they are very similar.

I agree kind of blown away at all the people that think Canelo will stop Cotto just because he has a weight advantage, Cotto's the better fighter always has been.

I keep changing my mind on the outcome of this fight which is what you want for a fight of this magnitude; 50/50.

if cotto pulls it off i will tip my hat and be completely astonished. cotto has looked good against his last 3 opponents, all weight drained or handicapped, lets see if he can do that against a live body.

I believe Cotto will surprise the majority who say Nelo will win. Styles make fights and Cotto has the stylistic advantage. He is smaller, older and not as strong but a lot has to be factored in based on Miguel's experience and craftiness. Don't sleep on Cotto

All those picking Cotto will be full of excuses after he loses.

I'm picking Canelo to win comfortably, likely by stoppage.
I dont see where it can be close.

I'll fully give Cotto his props if he even makes it competitive, much more if he wins.

Canelos only chance to become elite or beat an elite fighter is to pick up his workrate. If at this young of an age he's been so lazy, he's not gonna change that. . He is what he is, a very good, skilled fighter with terrible workrate and stamina for his age.

Canelo wont have to worry much about upping his workrate in that Cotto's stamina and workrate isn't high either.

Cotto has wilted down the stretch against every A level opponent he's ever faced and I dont see that changing against Canelo.

Canelo wins hands down, Cotto will not go the distance with a fighter of Canelo's caliber Cotto at best goes 10 rds more than likely less

I think Cotto has the edge in skill and experience, but I think Canelo probably wants it more than Cotto. Cotto seems to be more businessman than fighter anymore, not that there is anything wrong with that, but if Canelo can take him to hell how will he respond? I think Canelo stops him late

I actually agree with you.....Cotto will use his superior ring acumen, experience and savvy to control the younger, stronger and bigger Alvarez.

I think Nelo will become even better as he gets older, gains more experience and picks up some of the craftiness that only comes with facing guys like Cotto. I just don't think Nelo's physical advantages will out weigh Miguel's ring generalship and style advantage.

The 1st 3 rounds will tell the story. I see Nelo struggle to find his rhythm even though he will have limited success early in the fight.

By the middle rounds I think the style, strategy and experience will begin to wear on Alvarez to the point where he begins getting frustrated and forgetting his game plan in search for one shot to turn the fight around.

With that I think we will see Nelo over extending himself and absorbing punishment at the hands of Cotto for being overly aggressive.

If the fight does end in a KO I believe it happens late and with a body shot from Cotto.

I'll surely give Nelo his due if he does win but of course that's not how I see this fight playing out. I whole heartedly believe Alvarez is a future boxing elite who will be on par with guys like Cotto, PAC and Floyd but I don't think he's there yet. He's so young even though he has a ton of fights under his belt. With age and experience like this, win, lose or draw Nelo will only get better.
