His power is based on his level of competition and if that person is a punching bag..He didn’t KO Trout Lara or even shot Mosley at 154 but he looked like a killer against Kirkland and Angulo.. Didn’t drop or KO Cotto and GGG at 155+ but looked like a killer vs Khan.. Didn’t KO a big Chavez but looked like a killer vs Fielding.. He wouldn’t have looked so powerful if the opponent was Callum Smith tonight..
I agree Smith would have been a different story but tbh he did look better than ever bullying Fielding.
it is the opponent. When a fighter fights lesser caliber guys he pinpoints his punches more and gets more knockouts. He should move up and fight the Alvarez/Kovalev winner if he has so much confidence.
He was pumped full of PEDS, had illegal wraps and had weight drained Fielding with an obnoxious rehydration clause. Canelo is the sports biggest cheat.
Fielding was a lot bigger as in taller but he is a skinny runt compared to a jacked Canelo. Canelo looked better at the weight than Rocky
I mean Canelo has power at 160 but not dropping or hurting GGG should not be the measure of your power, GGG has one of the best chins ever in boxing, certainly top 5.
