    What's he supposed to do?

Canelo, the new 154lb champion has just inherited a new problem which is Demetrius Andrade, his mandatory.

Andrade would out slick, outbox and can outbang Canelo. In my mind, Andrade is the real top dog in this division. He would be favored over Canelo. He's got faster hands and feet than Canelo, not to mention, he's got power and can fight with multiple angles in quick fashion (unlike Liam smith) which would trouble Canelo's stationery style offense. Andrade would disappear quickly before Canelo could reset. He's also got a height and reach advantage and is his prime. He fights a similar style to floyd Mayweather when he was pretty boy floyd mode (offensive). We all saw how Canelo did against Mayweather and he struggled big time with Lara. Why else would Canelo say right after his Liam smith fight that it was his last fight at 154? Cuz he's scared to death of Andrade. Andrade possesses a style that wouldn't let Canelo fight his way. I've seen his fights, it matches up well with Canelo's cement feet. Canelo doesn't wanna fight guys that won't let him fight his style. Why elsewould his trainer say we don't want Willie Monroe?

What's Canelo gonna do? Vacate the belt?
Even if he were to get Andrade to take steps aside money, it would be seen as a duck and a sign of weakness. As soon as he has to fight a live dog, he strays away from the risk and that's what Andrade represents. The dude has been craving to get in the ring with him. He knows and Golden Boy knows it .

How will his Mexican fan base receive that?

He stated before the fight that it would be his last at JMW. Then he would take a couple of interim fights at 160 then fight GGG in September. I am not a big fan of Canelo and hope GGG whoops him for being a coward but making **** up is just petty.

Just as long as he don't go back to his catchweight, nothing stopping him at 160 he will still need to cut a lot of weight but it will be an easy cut and he should ought to be stronger at that weight which makes Oscars comments about growing into the weight all the more odd?

Canelo already beat the top 3 JrMWs in Lara, Trout, and Cotto.

And the only one of the 3 he definitively beat was a decrepit Cotto.

Nice opinion. I bet it fits your narrative nicely.

Barely, and I think Andrade would be a bigger stylistic challenge. Unlike Lara he's not going to run himself out of the fight, he's there in front of you countering.

Its anot n opinion, its reality, he looked terrible against Lara and Trout and debatably lost or drew with both of them, and if you think otherwise, you have no comprehension of reality and are living in a fantasy world.

You're hopeless. It was a very close fight each time. It was very clear who the winner was. You can say the both Lara and Trout "debatably" lost to Canelo and vice versa, but the fact is he WON, and it was in no way shape or form a robbery.

Most had Canelo winning following the fight. Even some of Lara's stablemates.

"Very close.... but very clear" sounds like you're contradicting yourself to me.

Not sure how many Canelo fights you've seen, but he only has issues when his opponent is running. Canelo connects between 40-60% of his power punches if his opponent stands infront and attempts to out-slugg him.

So based on fight styles, Canelo will excel against Andrade if he decides to stand in front of Canelo.

You gotta be falking kidding me.

I realize your boxing knowledge is limited. But it is possible and very common to have a very close fight and yet have a clear winner.

Says the guy with zero ability to score a fight.

I've explained that to people several times on here, that applies to matches were almost every round is close and hard to score, but here's the catch most of the rounds that Canelo lost weren't all that close against Lara and Trout, and the ones he won were.
