I think that Canelo Alvarez right now is the most protected fighter in all of boxing. First he fights Matthew Hatton who fights at 147lb at jr middleweight to win the title. Second he fight Ryan Rhoades who is a British level fighter, next Alfonso Gomez who also is a 147lb fighter and he was beating him before the referee stopped the fight to early. Then a shot Cintron. Finally a shot Mosley.:rofl WBC said that Vanes vs Lara will be the mandatory, if Lara does beat Vanes the WBC will probably have Lara face Kirkland, Molina, Angulo, Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams to get a shot at Canelo.:rofl

He is a "Champion" the last time I check, and you can't be protected once you wear that crown, Tyson was 20 and was unifying Belts, Benitez was 17 and was fighting for a Belt against the best 140 at the time, Kid Pambele, there's no excuse for what they are doing fight the best or move out of the way...

Don't count about 20 of his pro fights then. If you have 40 professional fights, and you're not ready, you have business saying you're 39-0-1 or 40-0.

Andy Lee is better than anyone Canelo has faced. Chavez has been stepping it up this past year. Props to him and Top Rank.

They used to insulate houses with asbestos too.

Give him a few years. Youngest fighter on P4P list is, what, 28?
